Anime Expeditions: How to Get and Evolve Carrot (Goku)

Where Carrot drops, the exact evolution materials, and how his Fighting Spirit transformation works after clearing the trial.

Carrot is the Goku-inspired Mythic unit added in Anime Expeditions Update 1.0, and he plays like a Gale Physical carry built around critical hits. His base kit lands a guaranteed critical strike after every four regular attacks, and once he evolves into Carrot (Unleashed) he gains a Fighting Spirit meter that transforms him for a temporary damage boost.

Quick answer: Pull Carrot from the Standard Banner or Mini Banner (0.25% Mythic rate, 400-summon pity), then evolve him with 20x Sprite (Red), 20x Sprite (Blue), 1x Sprite (Rainbow), 1x Medication, and 10,000 Gold. Medication only drops from clearing The Endless Fighter Trial.

How to get Carrot from the summon banners

Carrot is a summon-only unit. Open the summons portal in the lobby to see both the Standard Banner and the Mini Banner, and check whether Carrot is currently featured before you spend Gems.

The Standard Banner rotates three featured Mythics every hour, so Carrot is only guaranteed to be pullable during the windows when he is one of those three. The Mini Banner is the more reliable target because it features a single Mythic at a time, meaning every Mythic pull that comes up is Carrot when he is the listed unit. Both banners share the same odds.

BannerMythic ratePityFeatured Mythics
Standard Banner0.25%400 summonsThree, rotating hourly
Mini Banner0.25%400 summonsOne at a time

The pity meter guarantees Carrot on the 400th summon if you have not pulled him already, provided he is the featured unit for that banner. Keep summoning while he is featured, then stop and bank Gems once he is off-rotation.

Carrot evolution materials in Anime Expeditions

Evolving Carrot into Carrot (Unleashed) unlocks his passive Limitless Warrior and the Instant Relocation ability. You need the full material set before the game lets you complete the upgrade.

Medication is exclusive to Carrot’s evolution. It is the only material you cannot substitute or buy through normal farming, which makes the trial the real gate on this upgrade.

Clearing The Endless Fighter Trial for Medication

The Endless Fighter Trial asks you to survive 15 waves and defeat the Bioinsect (Perfect) final boss. It runs on a preset team, so you cannot bring stronger units or better traits to force a win. The challenge is entirely about placement, upgrade timing, and managing the Yen the trial gives you.

Inspect the preset units before the first wave. Compare their damage, range, and attack speed, and identify the single strongest attacker to build your run around.
Place that main damage dealer where it covers the longest stretch of the enemy path, so it gets the most shots on each wave.
Hold your currency during the opening waves. Do not spread small upgrades across every unit. Pour your early Yen into that one carry instead.
Add a second attacker only when enemy health starts climbing and your carry can no longer clear waves alone. Position it to cover a part of the path the first unit misses.
Spend when enemies begin leaking, and save when your setup is comfortably holding. Keep enough banked for the late waves and the Bioinsect (Perfect) boss, since that is where most runs fail.

You know it worked when the Victory screen appears and the run reports a Medication in the gained rewards. If a run fails, note exactly which section fell apart. Losing early means fixing your opening placement; losing at the boss means you overspent too soon and did not bank for the final upgrades.

Completing the evolution

Once you have all five materials, open Carrot in your unit list and go to the Evolve screen. The panel shows each requirement as complete, and the Evolve Unit button becomes available.

Confirm the evolution and Carrot becomes Carrot (Unleashed), gaining the Limitless Warrior passive and the Instant Relocation ability alongside his existing Battle Instinct passive.

Carrot (Unleashed) passives and abilities

The core of the evolved kit is the Fighting Spirit meter. It fuels a transformation that staggers enemies, makes Carrot immune to status effects, and raises his damage output for a limited time.

Battle Instinct (passive)

After every four non-critical attacks, Carrot’s next regular attack is a guaranteed critical hit. Those forced crits feed directly into his Fighting Spirit gain.

Limitless Warrior (passive)

Fighting Spirit starts at 0. Each critical attack adds 10, and being debuffed adds 20. At 30 stacks, Carrot enters Carrot Transformation. In that form he applies Stagger to every enemy in range, becomes immune to status effects, and gains increased offense. Fighting Spirit then drops by 1 per second, and he reverts to base form once it empties.

Instant Relocation (ability)

Select an allied unit or a position within range to relocate to for 15 seconds. Relocating to a unit triggers an immediate Follow-Up Attack dealing 75% of Carrot’s current damage, and it also makes the selected unit perform the same Follow-Up Attack for 75% of that unit’s current damage. Carrot’s own damage rises by 50% for 15 seconds, and the ability runs on a 20-second cooldown.

As one of the game’s first Gale Physical carries, Carrot is a strong pick if you are building a Physical-focused roster, and his evolution is what turns him from a solid Mythic into a self-buffing damage dealer. Land the pull while he is featured, farm the Sprites, and treat The Endless Fighter Trial as the one hurdle standing between you and Medication.
