Anime Expeditions runs on a stack of resources that feed almost every part of the game, from summoning new fighters to evolving them and rerolling their traits. Some drop while you push through Story missions, others come from challenges, events, tournaments, or the Gold Shop, and a handful are bought with Robux. Knowing what each item does saves you from wasting a rare crafting material or a Trait Crystal on the wrong unit.
Quick answer: Gems and Gold are your two core currencies, Trait Crystals reroll traits, colored Sprites are crafted from Grey Sprites to evolve units, and food items like Cursed Boba feed units for XP. Everything else is tied to a specific system such as events, tournaments, or the Expedition mode.
Core currencies and shop tokens
These are the spendable currencies that keep your account moving. Gems drive summoning, Gold covers shop purchases and cosmetics, while Event Coins and Crowns unlock rewards in their own dedicated shops.

Beginner Tickets pull on the Beginner Banner, which guarantees Mythic units once you have banked enough pulls. The two Luck Potions raise your odds of landing higher-tier units and are bought with Robux, so treat them as an optional accelerator rather than a farmable drop.
| Item | How to get | Use |
|---|---|---|
![]() Beginner Tickets | Complete Beginner Path chapters | Summon on the Beginner Banner, which guarantees Mythic units after enough pulls |
![]() Luck Potion | Purchase using Robux | Increases the chance of summoning a higher-tier unit |
![]() Super Luck Potion | Purchase using Robux | Massively increases the chance of summoning a higher-tier unit |
Reroll and lock items for traits, stats, and equipment
This group controls how you fine-tune a unit after you pull it. Trait Crystals reroll traits, Stat Reroll changes a unit’s damage, range, and SPA potential, and Equipment Reroll does the same for gear. The Lock items pin a good roll in place so a reroll cannot ruin it. Save Trait Crystals for your strongest carry instead of burning them on filler rares.
| Item | How to get | Use |
|---|---|---|
![]() Trait Crystal | Events, quests, achievements, bundles, codes, tournaments | Reroll a unit’s trait for stronger passive bonuses |
![]() Stat Reroll | Quests, rewards, event shop | Reroll a unit’s damage, range, and SPA potential |
![]() Stat Lock | Event shop, gold shop | Lock a unit’s stat potential when rerolling |
![]() Equipment Reroll | Event shop, gold shop | Reroll the potential of a piece of equipment |
![]() Equipment Lock | Event shop, gold shop | Lock an equipment’s stat potential |
Sprites and crafting materials
Sprites are the backbone of evolution and equipment crafting. Grey Sprites are the base material you farm from Story stages, and you craft them into the colored variants. Each color feeds different evolution and crafting recipes, so hoard Grey Sprites early and convert them as needed. Mana Flask, Cursed Timber, and the Holy Pendant round out the crafting pool.
| Item | How to get | Use |
|---|---|---|
Grey Sprites | Story stages, farming, rewards | Core crafting material used to make higher-tier sprites |
Yellow Sprites | Craft from grey sprites | Evolve units and craft equipment |
Red Sprites | Craft from grey sprites | Evolve units and craft equipment |
Purple Sprites | Craft from grey sprites | Evolve units |
Pink Sprites | Craft from grey sprites | Evolve units |
Green Sprites | Craft from grey sprites | Evolve units, craft equipment, and use in ascension |
Blue Sprites | Craft from grey sprites | Evolve units and craft equipment |
Rainbow Sprites | Craft from grey sprites | Used in unit evolution |
![]() Mana Flask | Gold shop | A glass vial of arcane residue used in crafting |
![]() Cursed Timber | Complete limited-time events | Material required in crafting |
![]() Holy Pendant | TBA | TBA |
Unit XP feeders
Four consumable foods raise a unit’s level when you feed them. They all serve the same purpose, so use whichever you have stocked. Most come from the Gold Shop, with Cursed Boba also dropping in Story modes.
| Item | How to get | Use |
|---|---|---|
![]() Cursed Boba | Gold shop, story modes | Feed to units for XP |
![]() Red Flower | Gold shop | Feed to units for XP |
![]() Frown Fruit | Gold shop | Feed to units for XP |
![]() Delicious Pie | Gold shop | Feed to units for XP |
Expedition and event-exclusive resources
A separate set of resources only shows up during limited-time events and the Expedition mode. You earn Fuel Cells and Equipment Scrap by clearing nodes, while Expedition Coins are spent in the Expedition Shop for progression items. Because these are time-limited, grab them while their events are live.
| Item | How to get | Use |
|---|---|---|
![]() Fuel Cells | Complete limited-time events | Expedition-exclusive resource earned by clearing nodes |
![]() Expedition Coins | Complete limited-time events | Spend in the Expedition Shop for progression items |
![]() Equipment Scrap | Complete limited-time events | Expedition-exclusive resource earned by clearing nodes |
If you are early in the game, the fastest way to build a working roster is to grind Story mode for Gold, Gems, and Grey Sprites, then convert those Sprites only when a unit is ready to evolve. Hold your Trait Crystals for a Mythic carry rather than spending them on early rares. Anime Expeditions is still in its early access window, so a few items such as the Holy Pendant do not yet have a confirmed source or use, and the item pool may grow as new modes and events roll out.
