How to Get and Awaken Meto (Eto Yoshimura) in Anime Squadron

Meto arrived with Anime Squadron Update 1.75 as a support unit modeled on Eto Yoshimura from Tokyo Ghoul. On the field he tags a single enemy with stacking debuffs, and those stacks feed your whole squad extra critical chance or bonus damage against that one target. Awaken him and he becomes Meto (One Eyed), jumping from Mythic to Secret rarity with a deeper set of passives.

Quick answer: Clear Chapter 2 of the Ghoul City Challenge on Normal for a 1% chance at Meto. He is guaranteed after 100 clears through the pity meter.

How to get Meto in Anime Squadron

Meto drops from Chapter 2 of the Ghoul City Challenge. Finishing that level on Normal difficulty gives you a 1% chance at the Mythic unit each time. If the rolls never land, the pity meter guarantees him after 100 completions of the Challenge map, so persistence eventually pays off even on the worst luck.

The Challenge is tougher than the standard Squadron Stage. Chapter 2 pits you against the Awakened Meto boss and its minions, so you need a lineup that can burn the fight down quickly. Strong carries like Gometa SSJ4 (Full Power), Puppeteer (Transcendent), and Berserker (Enraged) clear the level fast, which speeds up the grind toward the drop.

Materials to awaken Meto into Meto (One Eyed)

Awakening promotes Meto from a Mythic to the Secret-rarity Meto (One Eyed). You need four material stacks pulled from different modes, including a rare drop from the Hard version of the same Challenge that gave you Meto.

MaterialWhere to farm it
200x CapsuleThe Ice Continent Squadron, Chapter 1
40x Demon Blood CrystalInfinity Train Story, Act 9 and 10
1x Ghoul EyeGhoul City Challenge, Chapter 2 (Hard)
7,500x GoldStory, Squadron, and Challenge maps

The Ghoul Eye is the bottleneck. It carries a 1% drop chance from Chapter 2 of the Ghoul City Challenge on Hard difficulty, backed by a 100-clear pity, so treat the Hard run as its own grind rather than expecting it alongside the base unit.

Once Meto (One Eyed) is in hand, roll a Trait on him and push every stat to SSS grade using Stat Rerolls. That final tuning is what turns the Awakened form into a squad-wide amplifier rather than a filler slot.

Meto (One Eyed) passives explained

Meto (One Eyed) is built around debuffs. He locks onto one enemy, layers stacks that never fade, and lets the rest of your team punish that target harder. Three passives handle the whole loop.

Vigilance II

Five seconds after spawning, each Meto scans the field for the enemy taking the most sustained damage. That target gains one stack of Analyzed or Alert, depending on the mode, every five seconds per Meto on the map, and those stacks never disappear.

  • At 30 Analyzed, every unit gains +15% Crit Chance against that enemy only.
  • At 30 Alert, every unit ignores 15% of that enemy’s DEF.
  • Each Analyzed stack gives the enemy +0.5% DMG taken and -0.75% DEF.
  • Each Alert stack gives the enemy -0.75% DMG and +0.5% DEF.
  • Analyzed caps at 30 stacks per enemy.

True Hunt

Every time Hunter becomes Hunted triggers, Meto also drops +1 Hunted stack on whichever enemy holds the most Analyzed or Alert. The Hunted cap climbs by +1 with each activation, up to a ceiling of 5.

Hunted

Hunted stacks never expire either. Each stack makes every unit ignore an extra 7.5% of that enemy’s elemental resistance, and Meto himself deals +10% damage to that target per stack. Stacked together with Vigilance II, this turns a single priority enemy into a soft target for the whole squad.

Deployment cost and role

Meto (One Eyed) costs 3,200 Yen to spawn. He is a support piece rather than a carry, so pair him with a dedicated damage dealer and an economy unit to keep his stacks working while your main DPS finishes the fight. Because his debuffs concentrate on one enemy, he shines most in boss-heavy content where that priority target stays alive long enough for the stacks to build.
