Ever since the launch of Apex Legends, Wingman and Peacekeeper have been the favorite load out for most players because of the insane power these guns possessed. However, Respawn devs recently rolled out an update for Apex Legends which nerfs Wingman and Peacekeeper a bit to keep balance in the effectiveness of these two guns vs the other guns in the game.
WINGMAN NERFS
- Rate of fire reduced from 3.1 -> 2.6 shots per second.
- Skullpiercer Headshot damage multiplier reduced from 2.5 -> 2.25
- Increased base hip fire spread and decreased the rate at which hip fire spread decays (shrinks back down).
- Reduced availability in all zone tiers.
The Wingman nerfs will make a big impact on the gameplay of some seasoned players who have found it pretty easier to kill enemies with the gun. The reduced rate of fire and headshot damage will give the targets enough time to respond equally with an assault rifle when being shot with a Wingman.
PEACEKEEPER NERFS
- Reduced rate of fire for Peacekeeper with Shotgun Bolt attachment.
- Level 1 mitigation 10% -> 7.5%
- Level 2 mitigation 20% -> 13%
- Level 3 mitigation 25% -> 16%
- Reduced availability in all zone tiers.
Peacekeeper has been one of the most powerful weapon in the game with a damage of 110 on the body and 150 when shot at the head. However, Peacekeeper nerfs in the latest update do not reduce the damage numbers, but the reduced rate of fire from the shotgun bolt attachment will definitely give the targets enough time to respond to a peacekeeper attack.
