Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag — Andreas Island 2/2 Chests Walkthrough

Andreas Island sits in the Eleuthera region of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, and it holds two chests toward its completion tracker. One is submerged just off the dock, and the other is out in the open on the dock itself, guarded by a single enemy. Clearing both flips the island’s chest counter to 2/2.

Quick answer: Loot the underwater chest at map coordinates (546, 699), then swim under the dock, stealth-assassinate the guard, and open the dock chest at (548, 696) to reach Chests 2/2.

Andreas Island chest coordinates

Both chests are close together near the wooden dock. Open the World map, zoom into Andreas Island in Eleuthera, and you will see both icons. The region difficulty is marked Easy, so there is no heavy combat required.

Chest 1: The underwater chest (546, 699)

Start on the wooden dock and run toward the water’s edge. Jump across the wooden posts and rocks, then dive in.

Dive down toward the chest icon at (546, 699). Use the dive and swim controls to reach it and hold the loot prompt when it appears.

Open the chest to collect the loot and a small Reales payout, then swim back up to the sandy shore. This registers as the first chest, moving the tracker to Chests 1/2.

Inside this chest you get 37 Reales along with three sellable items.

Chest 2: The dock chest (548, 696)

The second chest is a large blue chest on the dock, and a guard stands right next to it. The clean approach is to come up from underneath rather than walking straight in.

From the shore, swim back into the water and head toward the dock. Dive under the dock structure so you stay out of the guard’s sight.

Surface beneath the dock and climb up the wooden support beams. Keep climbing until you reach the platform directly behind the guard.

When the assassinate prompt appears, take the guard out with a stealth kill. This clears the way to the chest without raising an alarm.

Walk up to the blue chest and open it for 630 Reales. The tracker updates Chests to 2/2 with a checkmark.

Kneel and loot the guard’s body for three extra items. These do not affect the chest count but add to your Reales total.

How to confirm Chests 2/2

Watch the Andreas Island objective tracker on the right side of the screen. It lists the island’s collectibles, including the chest count. After the underwater chest it reads Chests 1/2, and after the dock chest it flips to 2/2 with a checkmark. That checkmark is your confirmation that both chests are done.

Tip: If the dock chest still shows 1/2, you likely alerted the guard and moved on before looting. Return to the dock, deal with the enemy, and open the blue chest to finish the pair.

With both chests cleared, Andreas Island’s chest objective is complete, leaving only its other markers, such as the tavern and viewpoints, to work through separately.
