Kingston is one of the busier ports in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, and almost every chest here sits behind a wall of soldiers. Walk in blind and you’ll trigger a brawl before you ever reach the loot. Line up your eagle vision first, thin out the guards, and the town gives up a solid stack of Reales along with several collectible manuscripts.
Quick answer: Kingston has nine chests total. Five are money chests worth 540–700 Reales each, and four are secret chests holding three manuscripts and one Triptych art piece. Use the coordinates below to fast-track each one.
Kingston chest coordinates and rewards
Kingston sits at map coordinates 617, 167. Collectibles only appear as icons once you get close or clear a nearby viewpoint, so syncing the town’s high points first makes the whole run smoother. Here is every chest, its exact location, and what’s inside.
| Chest | Coordinates | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Chest 1 | 599, 174 | 630 Reales |
| Chest 2 | 605, 179 | 690 Reales |
| Chest 3 | 619, 166 | 540 Reales |
| Chest 4 | 630, 167 | 590 Reales |
| Chest 5 | 605, 156 | 700 Reales |
| Secret Chest 1 | 618, 173 | Triptych (Art Collection) |
| Secret Chest 2 | 592, 175 | Magellan’s Ship Manuscript |
| Secret Chest 3 | 626, 154 | De Gama Diary Extract Manuscript |
| Secret Chest 4 | 603, 185 | World Map (1570) Manuscript |
Note: many of these chests share a room or a courtyard with alert enemies. Chaining a double assassination before you loot keeps you from being caught mid-animation with an open chest.

The regular chests pay out Reales and range from grab-and-go easy to short climbs and guarded sheds. If you only have time for one, Chest 5 at 605, 156 is the biggest single payout at 700 Reales.
Chest 1 — 599, 174 (630 Reales)
The easiest of the set. Head to the bottom of Kingston, west of the South Warehouse, and look for the shed nearest the wooden watchtower. The chest is right inside, so walk in and take it.

Chest 2 — 605, 179 (690 Reales)
This one takes a short climb. Find the tree with white flowers, use it to scale the hillside, then follow the branch up to a tent at the top where the chest waits.

Chest 3 — 619, 166 (540 Reales)
Look southeast of the central church for a wooden shed with two soldiers posted outside. Take them down or slip past, then loot the chest inside.
Chest 4 — 630, 167 (590 Reales)
Start at the campfire area and pick up the tree marked with white flowers. Trace its branch until you reach a small tent, which is where this chest is tucked away.

Chest 5 — 605, 156 (700 Reales)
The last money chest and the highest payout. It sits inside the large wooden warehouse right by the beach. Guards patrol the area, so clear them or sneak in before opening it.
Four secret chests (manuscripts and art)
Kingston’s four secret chests count toward its four Secrets and hand over collectibles rather than cash. Three hold manuscripts and one holds the Triptych for your Art Collection. All four are guarded, and two are heavily defended, so plan your approach.
Secret Chest 1 — 618, 173 (Triptych)
Just north of the church, look for a garden courtyard with a small wooden gazebo, ringed by soldiers. Clear the enemies, then grab the Triptych art piece from the shed inside.
Secret Chest 2 — 592, 175 (Magellan’s Ship Manuscript)
Head to the Plantation House on the west side of Kingston and go up to the second-floor west wing. The chest is in the room with the framed portrait on the wall, watched by a single guard beside it.

Secret Chest 3 — 626, 154 (De Gama Diary Extract Manuscript)
On the southeast side of the island, look behind the wooden warehouse near the beach. A double assassination on the guards clears the way to the De Gama Diary Extract Manuscript inside.
Secret Chest 4 — 603, 185 (World Map (1570) Manuscript)
The hardest of the four. It sits in a tent in the northwest corner camp defended by several British soldiers. You’ll need to clear the whole group before you can loot the World Map (1570) Manuscript.

Confirming a full clear
Each looted chest updates your regional collectible count for Kingston. Track it on the map screen. Once you have banked all five money chests and all four secret chests, Kingston’s chest total reads nine of nine and the icons stop appearing. The three manuscripts also register in your codex, and the Triptych slots into the Art Collection.
If an icon is still showing after a sweep, it’s almost always a guarded chest you passed over during a fight. The two heavily defended spots to double-check are Secret Chest 4 in the northwest camp and Chest 5 in the beachside warehouse. Tip: if you’re pressed for time, prioritize Chest 5 and Secret Chest 1 first for the best mix of Reales and a collectible in one trip.
