Strongboxes scattered across Beast of Reincarnation hold some of the best early loot in the game, but most of them won’t open without a five-digit code or a specific button sequence. Below is every strongbox code found so far, along with what each one unlocks.

How to redeem a strongbox code

Every strongbox in Beast of Reincarnation needs to be approached and interacted with directly before a code can be entered. There’s no menu or in-game codes screen; each box is tied to its own physical location.

Walk up to the strongbox and interact with it to bring up the code entry prompt.
For five-digit codes such as 04180 or 08110, input the numbers in order using the on-screen keypad.
For directional codes such as the Subway Platform’s Down, Down, Left, Right, Up, press the listed directions quickly in sequence before the timer runs out.
Confirm the entry. A correct code opens the strongbox immediately and drops its contents into your inventory; a wrong code simply resets the prompt so you can try again.

Note: Most numeric codes are handed to you automatically as a voice or audio transmission right after you defeat a nearby Elite enemy. You don’t need to fight the Elite to use the code afterward — the same combination works every playthrough, so the codes listed above will open their matching strongbox regardless of whether you’ve beaten the enemy guarding it.

Strongboxes that don’t use codes

Not every locked container in Beast of Reincarnation runs on a numeric or directional code, so it’s worth knowing which ones use a different unlock method entirely.

The Abandoned Village strongbox in the Ogouchi Buffer Zone is sealed behind a locked door rather than a keypad. It requires the Red Key, which is handed to you automatically during Chapter 1 story progression when you reach the “Path to the Sealed Lair” objective and speak with the Retired Gatekeeper. Once you have it, return to the Abandoned Village’s main building, use the key on the door, and head upstairs to find the box holding 558 Amber and an Ancient Book (Common).

The Subcity Underground strongbox opens through a quicktime event instead of a code. Interact with it and press the button prompts shown on screen in the correct order before the timer expires to claim 2 Memory Chips.

A strongbox found near the submerged train carts in the Subway section of the Ancient Civilization Zone doesn’t need a code or key at all. Reach the metal platform where it sits — using Emma’s hair to bridge the gap is the cleanest route — and interact with it directly to receive 2x Spirit Stone Ore (S), 507 Amber, an Antidote, and an Ancient Book (Common).

New strongbox codes tend to surface as more of the map opens up, so it’s worth checking back on this list while you’re still working through the Ogouchi Buffer Zone, the Ancient Civilization Zone, and The Great Wall Terraces.
