Blox Fruits: How to Build a Snowman in Frozen Village

The second Frozen Village star needs snowy weather, three rolled snowballs, and a return trip to the Villager.

The second Frozen Village star needs snowy weather, three rolled snowballs, and a return trip to the Villager.

Frozen Village hides one of the more finicky secrets in the First Sea, because it only exists while the weather cooperates. The snowman puzzle asks you to roll loose snow into balls, stack three of them, and report back for a star. Nothing about it is hard, but the whole thing is invisible until the island starts snowing.

Quick answer: Wait until it is actively snowing on Frozen Village, roll into a snow pile to form a snowball, repeat until you have combined three snowballs into a finished snowman, then talk to the Villager to claim the star.

Snowman puzzle requirements in Frozen Village

The puzzle lives on Frozen Village in the First Sea, an island scaled for roughly level 90 to 120 characters. You do not need to fight anything to build the snowman, but the surrounding area is populated by Snow Bandits and Lv. 100 Snowmen enemies, so a character below that range will spend more time running than rolling.

Weather is the real gate. Snow piles only appear while snowfall is active on the island, and you can see it directly on screen as falling snow effects rather than having to check a menu. Talking to the Villager and asking for a rumor points you in the same direction, since he mentions the island becoming more interesting once the snow starts.

How to build the snowman

Travel to Frozen Village and confirm snow is falling. If the sky is clear, the piles will not be there no matter how thoroughly you search, so wait for the weather to turn before doing anything else.
Find a pile of snow on the ground. They can appear anywhere across the island, and the area around the Yeti boss spawn is a reliable place to start looking.

Sweeping the village on foot to spot the loose snow piles that turn into snowballs.
Roll into the pile to form a snowball. Dashing while you roll builds the ball noticeably faster, which matters if the weather window is short.

Park the first snowball where you want the finished snowman to stand, then find a second pile and roll another ball into it. Combining the two stacks them together.
Repeat once more for a third snowball and merge it onto the stack. Three balls is the full requirement, and the snowman visibly completes once the last one locks into place.

Movement abilities help more than combat here, since most of the effort is covering ground between piles. Anything with a dash, teleport, or fast repositioning cuts down the hunting time considerably on an island this spread out.

How to confirm the snowman star registered

Building the snowman does not complete the secret on its own. Go back to the Villager and speak to him again once the third ball is stacked, and he closes out the puzzle for you.

You will know it worked when the star is credited and another set of exclusive abilities opens up. Checking Frozen Village on the world map afterward shows the updated star count for the island, which is the clearest confirmation that the secret is logged.

Why the snowman puzzle does not trigger

Three things account for almost every failed attempt, and each one has a straightforward fix.

  • It is not snowing. No snowfall means no snow piles, so wait for the weather to change before searching.
  • The stack is incomplete. Two snowballs look close enough to finished but do not count; the snowman needs three.
  • You never returned to the Villager. The star is awarded through dialogue, not by the act of building.

Note: because the whole puzzle hinges on weather timing, it is worth clearing Frozen Village’s other always-available secret first and looping back to the snowman when snow starts falling, rather than standing around waiting for it.

Once the snowman is built and the Villager has handed over the star, that secret is permanently done for the island. The only real skill involved is patience with the weather, and after that it is a few minutes of rolling snow around a village that is already full of things trying to hit you.
