Every new legendary, the Pearlescent AeroDramatic, and the four Vault Card 5 rerollables, plus the bosses that drop them.

Bounty Pack 5: Amara and The Vile Shadows arrived with the Version 1.10 update on September 10th, alongside Story Pack 2 and a level cap bump. The mission itself sends you back to Elpis to chase the phase disturbances left behind by the moon’s arrival, but the part that sticks around after the credits is the loot: a small, sharply defined set of weapons and gear with mechanics that mostly reward very specific builds.

Quick answer: Bounty Pack 5 adds 11 items — one Pearlescent and six legendaries dropped by three bosses across Nuada Cove and the Dark Side of Elpis, plus four rerollable legendaries locked behind Vault Card 5.

The split matters. The seven boss drops come with the Bounty Pack itself, while the four Vault Card items are on a separate purchase that Gearbox has now decoupled from the story content. Buy the mission and you can farm the bosses; buy the card and you can grind tickets for the other four indefinitely.

AeroDramatic: The Pearlescent Torgue shotgun

The only Pearlescent in the pack is the AeroDramatic, a Torgue shotgun that fires two rockets which detonate after traveling a short distance. Each detonation spawns four homing rockets, so a single trigger pull turns into eight tracking projectiles.

Those homing rockets each deal 1x card damage and scale with On Shot gun damage and Amp effects, but they do not cause or benefit from On Hit gun damage. If your build leans entirely on On Hit triggers, the gun’s damage ceiling drops sharply. It rolls a wide part pool, including Hyperion gun shield, Jakobs ricochet, Tediore throw-on-reload variants, COV unlimited mag, Ripper charge mag, and Atlas or Daedalus underbarrels.

Boss-farmed legendaries and where to farm them

Three named enemies carry the entire Bounty Pack drop table. Two of them are mini-bosses you can walk past on the way to the finale, so clear them deliberately if you want the full set.

The Reject Prototype (Nuada Cove)

The Triplicate is a Vladof assault rifle whose Tripled effect spawns two explosives on hit, each dealing 75% of the gun’s damage. It ignores Tediore parts and underbarrels entirely, and the explosions do not appear to play nicely with Torgue projectiles or the fire rate underbarrel.

The same boss drops the Enumeration, a Ripper SMG with Finite Set, which refunds 50% of the magazine’s spent ammo every time you reload. Pair it with a high fire rate build and reserve ammo effectively stops being a limiting factor.

Hybrid Thresher (Dark Side of Elpis)

The Wind Skimmer is a Jakobs sniper rifle with Higher Ground, which cuts the shot cost to 1 ammo while you are in midair. It is built for players who spend most of a fight gliding or grappling rather than standing still.

Its partner drop, the Pragmate Daedalus shotgun, is a melee enabler. Praxis grants a stack on hit that boosts the next instance of melee damage by 25%, stacking up to 20 times, for a maximum of 500% added On Hit melee damage on a single swing.

Vile Grasp (Dark Side of Elpis)

The pack’s final boss holds three items. Alongside the AeroDramatic, it drops the Clarity, a Maliwan sniper rifle whose Epiphany effect restores 10% of your shield capacity on fire, which effectively turns sustained shooting into shield sustain.

The third drop is the Outburst, a Torgue repkit. Its Flare Up effect makes every Torgue Sticky currently on a target immediately detonate for damage and hand you extra healing when you use the repkit, which only pays off if you are already running Torgue weapons.

Vault Card 5 rerollable legendaries

Vault Card 5, themed Warped & Weird, works like the previous cards. It holds 24 cosmetics and four pieces of gear, and while each cosmetic can only be claimed once, the four legendaries can be redeemed as many times as you want until the parts and stats line up with your build. Tickets come from Daily and Weekly Challenges, averaging roughly four per daily and ten per weekly.

  • Flash Fuel (Jakobs AR) — damage scales with the gun’s heat, and above 50% heat all damage converts to Incendiary.
  • Shield Overflow (Daedalus pistol) — grants a small amount of Overshield on hit.
  • Tempered Essence (Vladof SMG) — 10% chance while firing to launch a Fist dealing melee and grenade damage.
  • Alignment (Order grenade) — tracks a nearby enemy, then plants a short-lived turret that fires at it.

Tempered Essence is the standout of the four. The Fist uses card damage as its base with a 5x pure multiplier, picks up both melee and ordnance bonuses, and can set off anything that triggers on melee or ordnance damage. It benefits from On Shot gun damage but not Amp, and it will not fire from an underbarrel.

Your first redemption of a Vault Card legendary comes with fixed base parts. Only repeat claims roll randomized parts, so budget tickets for more than one pull if you are chasing a specific configuration.

Guaranteed rewards for finishing Amara and The Vile Shadows

Weapon drops are still subject to luck, but the mission itself pays out regardless. Completing Amara and The Vile Shadows unlocks a Vault Hunter skin usable by every character, a new vehicle, and an ECHO-4 drone skin. Those three land automatically, so even a run where every boss refuses to cooperate leaves you with something.

To confirm the pack installed correctly, open the ECHO menu and look for Vault Card 5 in the Vault Card screen. Cards do not activate on their own — you have to select it there before your XP starts filling its progression bar, and there is no expiry or time limit on any of its rewards.

Version 1.10 also raised the level cap by ten across the board, which gives you more skill points to spend on the passives these weapons lean on. Several of the Bounty Pack items only look good on paper until a skill node pushes them over a threshold — melee scaling for the Pragmate, shield capacity for the Clarity, ordnance bonuses for Tempered Essence. Worth respeccing before you start farming.
