Borderlands 4: Every Legendary Loveless Class Mod and How to Get It

All 11 legendary Loveless class mods, their exact drop sources, and what each one changes about her kit.

All 11 legendary Loveless class mods, their exact drop sources, and what each one changes about her kit.

Loveless the Hacker has 11 legendary class mods to chase in Borderlands 4, and each one reshapes a specific part of her toolkit around Wyrm, Contagion, stealth, or her Function and Executable rhythm. They come from a mix of base-game bosses, raid encounters, Vault Guardians, and Story Pack content, so where you farm depends entirely on which mod you want.

Quick answer: Every legendary Loveless class mod is a targeted boss or chest drop. To equip any of them you must own the Loveless the Hacker DLC, then farm the listed source until the mod drops.

Requirements before you farm

Loveless is a paid DLC character. She is included with the Super Deluxe Edition and the Vault Hunter Pack, or she can be bought separately. If you do not own her, the class mods will not equip even if they drop. You can check ownership and access her on the official Loveless Vault Hunter page.

The class mod slot itself unlocks at level 20. Legendary class mods roll with 7 bonus skill points spread across 3 of the mod’s 4 listed skills, plus one fixed stat and one random stat. That fixed stat is tied to the mod, so the drop you want is the effect, not the roll.

Which mods match each Loveless build

Loveless is built around three trees: Manifestation for Wyrm, Hack/Slash for stealth and sniper play, and Virology for Contagion and status damage. Picking a mod is easiest once you know which of those you are leaning into.

  • Wyrm and Symbiosis: Devourer, Martyr, and Puppetmaster all scale off Wyrm and Symbiosis Stacks, making them the core companion picks.
  • Stealth and snipers: Montage Maker rewards Sniper Rifle kills with cloak and a flat +50% damage window, while Trackstar feeds movement-based melee.
  • Contagion and status spread: Boomer, Plague Engineer, and Virophile turn Contagion into wider elemental and Ordnance damage.
  • Function and Executable loops: Functioning Human, Memory Hoarder, and Programmer reward chaining Functions, Executables, and Empowered Melee attacks.

Farming notes for the harder sources

Most mods come from a single dedicated boss, so the fastest route is to save-quit and rerun that specific fight. A few need extra attention:

  • Vault Guardians: Functioning Human (Radix), Memory Hoarder (Origo), and Virophile (Inceptus) each come from their own Guardian, so target the right one rather than rotating vaults.
  • Puppetmaster: This one only appears in the final chest of the Takedown at Hadron Abyss, meaning you must clear the full Takedown each attempt.
  • Programmer: It drops from Story Pack 2 bosses tied to The Last Resort, so you need that content to farm it.
  • Martyr: It comes from Nightmare Rift bosses in Story Pack 1 rather than the base-game pool.

You will know a run succeeded when the mod appears in the boss loot beam or chest with the orange legendary rarity and the Loveless class icon. If a legendary drops but cannot be equipped, that is the DLC-ownership check failing rather than the wrong mod.

Since the fixed effect never changes, you only need one clean copy of each mod to build around, then keep farming the same source if you want a better spread of bonus skill points and a stronger random stat.
