Guns are the strangest thing on the field in Bug Fixes, the samurai melee game by captainwoodlegs. The whole experience is built around directional katana cuts, bowing, and praying — and then a row of players in red kabuto lines up and fires muskets across a cherry field. There is no shop button for that. The weapon comes out of a shrine, and it only comes out if the game thinks you deserve it.
Quick answer: Go to the cat shrine on the mossy, rocky hills, make sure you have at least 1 Honor, and pray at it repeatedly. The gun is a rare random drop from that prayer loop.
What you need before you start praying
There are only two hard conditions, and one of them stops most people cold.
- A keyboard. The game is PC-first, and the description still says console and mobile layouts are unfinished and meant for people with keyboard attachments.
- 1 Honor or more. The gun will not drop for a character sitting at low or negative honor.
- Time. Players report an hour or more of continuous praying before anything appears.
- Nothing else. There is no code, no quest chain, and no game pass that hands you a firearm.
The binds you will use are short. Everything else on the control card stays for combat.
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
| B | Pray |
| X | Bow or sheath |
| = | Hat off |
| G | Displace |
If you have not joined yet, the experience is free on the official Roblox page for bug fixes. Servers hold up to 50 players, so expect company at the shrine.

The shrine you want is the cat shrine, and it sits out on the rocky, moss-covered hills rather than in the open lantern fields where most duels happen. It is a small stone structure, easy to walk past if you are sprinting between torii gates. Learn the approach from above once and it becomes a two-minute run from spawn.

Other shrines and temples exist and they restore honor, but the gun is tied to this specific cat shrine. Praying somewhere convenient is not the same as praying in the right place.
How to get the gun by praying at the shrine

Low honor blocks the drop
Fall below the line and the game tells you directly with a “Warning: you have low honor!” message. The accompanying text spells out the penalty — your weapons get weaker, your clothes begin to rot, and you are pointed back toward prayer and honorable deeds at shrines and temples. While you are in that state, no amount of praying at the cat shrine will produce a gun.

Praying is also the fix. Clear the dishonor first, confirm the warning is gone, and only then start counting your prayers toward the weapon.
How to confirm the gun actually dropped
There is no announcement and no changelog popup. You will know it worked when the weapon is on your character after a prayer and you can fire it — players who have it show up in lines, aim in the same direction, and shoot together. The HUD still lists fist and katana slots even with a firearm in the scene, so do not expect a new tab to appear as proof.
No official firing or equip bind has been published in the game description, which is why the safest move is to copy what other armed players in your server are doing rather than rebinding keys yourself. If a whole row of players has the same kit, that is test content, not someone’s exploit. A single person with a physics gun that nobody else can get is a different story.
Firearms are still the loud exception here, not the core of the game. Steel decides most fights, and a musket does not save you from a katana player who knows when to press R and G. But if you want the one item that turns a prayer circle into a firing line, the cat shrine is the only address that matters.
