Rose Belmont can wear six different outfits in Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, and several of them nod directly to past games in the series. Half can be earned by anyone during a normal playthrough, and the rest are locked to specific purchases.

Quick answer: Rose’s Outfit, Sonia Style, and Cursed’s Outfit are free in-game unlocks. Trevor Style, Sypha Style, and Alucard Style come from the Midnight Edition and pre-orders.

How to change your Character Skin

Every outfit you own is applied from the same menu. Pause the game, open the System tab, and select Character Skin. From there you can cycle through anything you have unlocked and confirm the one you want. There is no separate wardrobe or vendor to visit.

Outfits you can unlock in-game

Rose’s Outfit (default)

This is Rose’s starting look, worn from the moment you arrive in Paris. Nothing needs to be done to unlock it, and it stays available in the Character Skin list for the whole game.

Sonia Style Costume (Konami code)

Sonia Style, based on Sonia Belmont, unlocks instantly once you enter the Konami code in any of the game’s menus. Input the button sequence for your platform and a New Character Skin Unlocked! banner will appear in the corner with a chime to confirm it worked.

XboxUp, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, A, B
NintendoUp, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A

The final two inputs map to your Dodge and Jump buttons, so the modified code reads as the classic directions followed by Dodge then Jump. After the unlock, open System, pick Character Skin, and switch to the Sonia Style Costume.

Cursed’s Outfit (Bad ending)

Cursed’s Outfit is tied to reaching the Bad ending. After you arrive at Dracula’s Castle, head through the Clock Tower and reach the Cursed Horologium on the way to Isaac. If you do this before unlocking all Arcana and refuse to turn back when prompted, you lock in the Bad ending and Rose receives this darker look as a result.

Outfits locked to editions and pre-orders

The three remaining costumes cannot be earned through play. They are bound to how and when you bought the game.

Alucard Style CostumeAlucardPre-order plus completing the demo

Trevor Style and Sypha Style both ship with the Midnight Edition and are not available any other way at the moment. The Alucard Style Costume requires a pre-order that was also tied to finishing the demo, so players who missed that window cannot currently obtain it.

Once any outfit is in your list, equipping it is permanent until you swap again through System and Character Skin, so you can freely mix the free unlocks with whichever edition costumes you own.
