The Bird Nest hidden event turns Delta Force’s second anniversary into a playable cinematic. Instead of a simple login reward, arranging a set of items inside a Bird Nest at Layali Grove and extracting drops you into a multi-stage dream sequence called “When the Stars Blaze,” then hands you two exclusive collectibles back at base.

Items you need for the Bird Nest event

The whole trigger runs on three cheap consumables you can buy before deploying. Load all of them into your backpack while you are still in the lobby, because you cannot craft the pattern without the full set on hand.

The event is time-limited. The 2nd Anniversary Easter Egg runs September 25 to October 15, 2026, so gather the items and complete a run inside that window.

Where to find the Bird Nest in Layali Grove

The clue points to the Bird Nest in southern Layali Grove. Nests are scattered around the map, and several qualifying spots work as long as they meet the location condition, so pick one that suits your route. Common variants include a nest on a concrete wall or planter, a ground-level nest tucked under foliage, and one at the base of a large tree trunk.

The village area sees regular traffic. Keep your weapon ready while you work the nest, and if you have a squad, post someone on overwatch while another player handles the placement.

How to place the items and trigger the countdown

Reach your chosen Bird Nest and open its storage grid. Clear any existing contents so you have room for the full sixteen-item pattern.

Transfer the items into the grid in position. Place the 6 Signal Flares around the outer perimeter and the 6 Chocolate bars as an inner ring.

Set the 4 Gold Bars into the center. The gold-framed final item is the one that arms the sequence, so save it for last.

Once the last item drops in, an Extracting countdown timer appears at the top of the screen. That timer is your confirmation the Easter Egg is active. The placed items can be taken back afterward, so you are not forced to leave them behind.

Move to the extraction point and extract as normal. Green extraction smoke marks the spot, and completing the exfil is what carries you into the anniversary sequence rather than straight back to the lobby.

The “When the Stars Blaze” sequence

After extraction, a loading screen reading “WHEN THE STARS BLAZE” replaces the usual return to base, and you drop into an extended, playable commemorative journey. It moves through several distinct stages before spitting you back out at base.

Rewards: Piano Bird Nest Commemoration badge and Music Box Bird Nest

Finishing the sequence returns you to the main base and pays out two commemorative rewards. The keepsake is the standout, a high-tier collectible worth well over two million in-game currency.

The Music Box Bird Nest arrives through a system mail from G.T.I. Central Command HQ titled “When the Stars Shine.” Claim it there, and it lands in your Stash as a craftwork keepsake. Both the Golden Bird Nest and the anniversary keepsake can then be arranged and displayed in the Black Site Collection Room, where you can toggle placement and display effects in the cabinet.

How to confirm the event completed

You will know it worked from a chain of on-screen confirmations. During the run, the countdown timer at the top of the screen appears the moment the final gold-framed item enters the nest. After extraction, the “WHEN THE STARS BLAZE” loading screen plays instead of the normal lobby return.

Back at base, an unlock banner reads “Commemoration / Piano Bird Nest Commemoration,” and the matching badge shows up under Profile Customization. The final check is the system mail from G.T.I. Central Command HQ containing the Music Box Bird Nest. Once that keepsake is in your Stash and displayable in the Collection Room, the event is fully done.
