Sugar Cookie Pavement is a sweet outdoor path in Disney Dreamlight Valley, built around a checkerboard of icing and sprinkles that fits the Sugar Rush theme from Wreck-It Ralph. It comes in two forms, a standard tile and a Deluxe tile, and both are made the same way. The one twist that trips people up is the material. You do not mine or forage it, you cook it.
Quick answer: Cook Candy from any single Sweet ingredient, then take 2 Candy to any crafting station and select Sugar Cookie Pavement or Deluxe Sugar Cookie Pavement under Fences & Paving. Each craft of 2 Candy yields 4 path tiles.
Cook Candy first, or the recipe stays hidden
Candy is the only material both path versions need. It is a one-star dessert made from a single Sweet ingredient at any cooking station, so you can whip up a batch quickly once you have the ingredient. If the Sugar Cookie Pavement recipe is not showing at the crafting station, cook at least one Candy first and it will appear.
Any Sweet works, and each one produces Candy with different energy and sell values.

Since every craft eats through 2 Candy at a time, Sugarcane is the practical choice. You can plant and harvest it in bulk, while foraged Vanilla and Cocoa Bean are limited by plant respawn timers.
Craft the pavement at any station
You know it worked when the finished tiles land in your inventory and the item is added to your Dreamlight Valley Crafting Collection.
Standard vs Deluxe Sugar Cookie Pavement
The recipe and material cost are identical for both. The difference is purely how the tiles look once placed.

The two types do not tile together. If you want a large area framed by the Deluxe border, fill the entire center with Deluxe tiles rather than mixing in the standard version.
Where you can place it
Both paths are outdoor only and sit on unpaved ground. To lay them down, open the Furniture menu while you are outside, scroll to the Landscaping section, and choose Paths. Select the pattern and drag along the ground. Clicking and dragging on the corners lets you run a continuous path for as long as you have tiles.
Note: You first see this flooring during Vanellope’s “Extreme Biome Makeover” quest, which asks you to place 50 tiles near her house.
How much Candy you need for the Star Path duty
The Pop City Star Path duty asks you to craft a total of 50 Sugar Cookie Pavement, and either variant counts toward it. Because every craft produces 4 tiles, you need roughly 26 Candy to hit that number. Finishing the duty rewards 50 Tokens to spend during the event.
Keep a stock of Sugarcane growing and cook Candy in batches. Once the ingredient supply is steady, both the crafting and the placement come down to a few quick clicks, whether you are chasing a duty or just building your own Sugar Rush track.
