Clearing Garage & Restoring Power

In Call of Duty’s DMZ, Operation Silent Ledger sends you on a casino heist. Stolen currency-printing plates are financing the enemy’s operations; they are kept in a marked bag in the basement vault at Heavenly Luck Casino, Cheongun Village, on the Hajin map. A squad typically needs around 12 minutes from spawning to mission completion. Before anyone can reach the vault, the mission takes you to the parking garage, then the penthouse, then back down. Most of the cash you collect is optional and not needed for the mission.

Quick answer: Operation Silent Ledger is the final Story Mission in Ch. Counterfeit. It registers as complete after the printing plates depart aboard an exfil chopper and the “MISSION COMPLETE” banner shows.

Operation Silent Ledger mission details

Silent Ledger is a Story Mission, so you choose it before you deploy rather than picking it up in the field. On the mission select screen, the job is split into three broad objectives: Enter the Casino, Breach the Vault, and Secure the Plates.

Threat assessmentMedium (casino reads High in the HUD)
Recommended gear2-Plate Armor Vest, Medkit
TargetPrinting plates in the basement vault
Typical lengthAbout 12 minutes

Cheongun Village itself is rated Low threat. That changes once you get close to the casino, where the HUD reading jumps to High. The building is full of regular guards rather than elites or a boss, so the real pressure is how much ammo you have, not how much a single enemy can take.

Squads usually spawn a few hundred meters from the casino marker, often in rain, with the “APPROACH THE CASINO” objective already on screen.

Silent Ledger objectives in order

Each broad objective breaks into smaller on-screen prompts as the mission goes on. Every prompt appears only after the one before it is done, so the order never changes from run to run.

Power and the penthouse

The casino’s lobby elevators won’t work when you arrive. Restore power to them by finding the yellow portable generator in a small, unlit room on the parking level below the building. Reach it by crossing the casino floor and descending into the multi-level garage, where guards are plentiful.

To start the generator, complete a timing minigame: press interact when the moving marker reaches the bar’s yellow sweet spot. A successful press triggers the “5 XP Sweetspot Hit” popup and starts the engine.

With the power back, the working elevator goes up to the penthouse. There, guards hold the reception area and the grand staircase between the squad and the security office. The office has a glass partition and a CCTV desk. The counter inside can also hold loot, such as Ballistic Flight Logs, an Uncommon valuable worth $1,000.

The terminal is labeled Security Station – Parking Levels, and it opens a full-screen camera feed. On PC, A and D switch cameras, Q and E zoom, and a night vision toggle helps on the darker feeds. Once the camera points at the caged vault fence in the basement, the fence unlocks and the objective moves on. The vault fence never opens from the basement itself.

The vault drill

Take the lobby elevator labeled B1/B2 Parking down to the vault ante-room. Attach the drill to the round vault door to begin filling the “DRILLING SAFE” progress bar. Silent Ledger’s only holdout is here: soldiers pour in through the garage entrances as the bar advances, consuming most of the squad’s ammunition. A normal drill takes just under three minutes.

The plates and the exfil

When the drill finishes, a “CASINO VAULT HAS BEEN BREACHED” banner appears and the door swings open. The printing plates are in a plate bag in the vault. Some of the inner shelves are behind padlocked cages that need a “PICK PADLOCK” interaction. Once someone has the plates, the last objective appears. Infantry Invasion Plans, another $1,000 Uncommon valuable, can turn up on a shelf on the parking level during the way out.

Silent Ledger cash bags and the cargo truck

Breaching the vault also starts an optional side op, “Cash Bags Secured,” with a 0/12 counter. Each bag is worth $1,500, so all twelve add up to $18,000. That is far more than the Story Mission Payout itself.

  • Some bags sit behind locked security cages inside the vault.
  • A green flatbed cargo truck waits in bay B2 of the same garage.
  • The truck’s bed holds every bag, and it can drive up the ramp and through the perimeter gates.
  • At the chopper, the “Throw Cash Bag” prompt (V on PC) banks each bag.
  • A second side op, “Repair the Vehicle,” can also appear on the way out.

The exfil chopper lands in a clearing at Cheongun Outskirts, a short drive through enemy-held streets. The squad has to hold the rear ramp until the “EXFIL DEPARTING” timer runs out, then the chopper lifts off and “EXTRACTION SUCCESSFUL” appears on screen.

The mission completes as soon as the plates leave on a chopper, even if the truck carrying the cash bags is still on the road. If a teammate leaves before the truck arrives, the bags have to wait for a later exfil.

Operation Silent Ledger rewards and payout

The mission select screen lists four rewards for Silent Ledger.

RewardTypeQuantity
Gold BarItemx1
Vault keyKeyx1
Polaris Dagor A1Vehiclex1
DMZ CashCash$25,000

The vault key’s full name is cut off on the select screen, which shows “Counting R…” in one view and “…Room Vault” in another. The Polaris Dagor A1 is also offered as a paid infil for 5,000 DMZ Cash, so getting one free from this mission has real value.

The cash amount does not match up. The after-action report after a completed run shows a Story Mission Payout of $5,000, not $25,000, along with separate lines for Cash Banked and Misc Cash Earned from the run itself. It is not yet clear whether the rest of the listed $25,000 is paid somewhere else. Comparing your Bank balance before and after the mission is the simplest way to check what you actually got.

Silent Ledger in Ch. Counterfeit and DMZ Orders

Silent Ledger closes out Ch. Counterfeit. The other two chapters end with Operation Critical Extraction (Ch. Human Intel) and Operation Shopping Hacks (Ch. Underground). In the DMZ Orders menu, the chapter’s final page includes the order “Complete the Operation Silent Ledger Story Mission,” which completes automatically when the mission does. Finishing every order on that page pays 20,000 cash, an Operator Rescue Beacon, and a Weapon Insurance Contract.

The same page has an order called Eyes Everywhere, which asks you to print a Recon Drone and mark 10 enemies in the Heavenly Luck Casino. The casino is so crowded during Silent Ledger that both orders fit easily into one deployment. An Epic Vault Armory key also opens a small armory in the casino’s underground parking, but the key drops elsewhere on the map and is not part of the mission.

After you finish it, Silent Ledger joins the Random Story Mission pool at Medium to Extreme threat, and squad fill is required for those runs. You’ll know the first clear counted when three things line up: the “MISSION COMPLETE” banner, the “CHALLENGE COMPLETED” popup, and the Silent Ledger order checked off in Ch. Counterfeit.
