Enshrouded 1.0 adds a set of building blocks tied to the Ancients and the Cinder’s Cradle region. Some you have to travel for and pull out of chests. The rest show up on the Workbench list once you are carrying the right materials. Here is where each one is and exactly what it takes to obtain it.
Quick answer: Three of the seven blocks come from chests (Ancient Beacon Block, Ancient Gold Block, Weathered Ancient Stone Block), and the other four (Moonstone Block, Ancient Circles Block, Ancient Dungeon Block, Ancient Stone Block) are Workbench recipes that appear once you carry Moonstone and Basalt from Cinder’s Cradle.
Chest blocks you have to travel for
Three blocks are found in chests. Each chest has a specific location; follow the steps below to reach it.
Ancient Beacon Block (Island Ruin, sky islands)
A round design decorates this glowing yellow-orange block. Its chest is inside a tower at Island Ruin, south-west of the Crater Isle area in the north-east of the sky islands.

Ancient Gold Block (silver chest near the Citadel)
Begin at the Citadel Flame Altar on the highest sky island; the objective is “GET TO HIGHEST SKY ISLAND – CITADEL”. The “Ancient Gold Block” map pin lands in the center of the ruins, not at the chest. Disregard its precise location and make your way to the ruined castle tower.

Weathered Ancient Stone Block (Lost Ancient Temple, Blackmire)
The chest is in the Lost Ancient Temple, shown on the world map as the “Hidden Temple” marker at the Passage to the Blackmire, near Little Lagoon, Starfish Shores and Lake Heartblood.

Bring Spark before you go. Spark comes from Flame Shrines and Flame Sanctums, and the door inside the temple needs some to open.

Add to Google Preferences →Workbench recipes: four blocks from Moonstone and Basalt
The other four blocks appear on the Workbench list under Blocks once you are carrying the new materials, Moonstone and Basalt from Cinder’s Cradle. Each recipe makes 100 blocks per craft, and the craft buttons read “Craft” and “Craft x10”. On each recipe line the resource shows your held amount against the amount needed, with its source in brackets.
| Block | Materials needed | Makes |
|---|---|---|
| 10 units of Moonstone, 4 of Sparkling Dust, and 3 of Basalt | 100 | |
| 10 Basalt | 100 | |
| 10 Basalt | 100 | |
| 10 Moonstone, 10 Basalt | 100 |
The recipe lines list Cinder’s Cradle as the source for both Moonstone and Basalt. Sparkling Dust, required only for the Moonstone Block, is marked Mill on the recipe line. The Moonstone Block has a glowing pattern.

Workbench recipes, rarity and stack size for the seven blocks
All seven blocks are Common building materials that stack to 5,000. The three chest blocks also have Workbench recipes of their own, so after the chest haul runs out you can make more:
| Block | Rarity | Stack | Workbench recipe |
|---|---|---|---|
| Common | 5,000 | Workbench: 3 Magma Gel + 4 Cinder Rock + 3 Celestium Ore → 100 | |
| Common | 5,000 | Workbench: 5 Gold Bars → 100 | |
| Common | 5,000 | Workbench: 5 Blackmire Stone + 100 Ancient Stone Block → 100 | |
| Common | 5,000 | Workbench: 3 Basalt + 10 Moonstone + 4 Sparkling Dust → 100 | |
| Common | 5,000 | Workbench: 10 Basalt → 100 | |
| Common | 5,000 | Workbench: 10 Basalt → 100 | |
| Common | 5,000 | Workbench: 10 Basalt + 10 Moonstone → 100 |
Sparkling Dust for the Moonstone Block is ground at a Mill: 1 Diamond + 1 Moonstone + 1 Celestium Ore + 1 Mother-Of-Pearl → 1, 3 min (at default production speed).
The Ancient Beacon Block’s item text: “A glowing block casting a yellow light that’s visible across vast distances.”
