Enshrouded 1.0: What All 8 New Combat Skills Do

Five skills expand mage wand, staff and summoner play, while three add piercing, durability and Shroud-time perks for bows and daggers.

Five skills expand mage wand, staff and summoner play, while three add piercing, durability and Shroud-time perks for bows and daggers.

Enshrouded 1.0 adds eight new combat skills to the tree, and rearranges enough of the old ones that every character’s points are refunded. Five of the new skills serve mages, covering mobile wand attacks, a wand-to-staff damage combo and higher caps for summons. The other three sit on the ranger side for bow and dagger players.

Spend your points again before you leave base

The Skills screen confirms the reset: all points are available to spend, and every attribute is back at its starting value of 8. Your previous picks do not carry over.

Step outside without reinvesting, and you head into the world with no skills active at all.

The new combat skills sit in the Battlemage, Wizard, Trickster and Ranger areas of the tree. A ninth new skill, Airborne Architect, is a building skill at the centre of the tree rather than a combat one, so it is not part of the eight below.

New mage skills in Enshrouded 1.0

Aerial Wand Attack

Equip a wand, jump, and keep [LMB] held to cast a magical shot. When it hits, the shot drops to the ground and explodes, adding damage equal to 50% of your weapon damage. Target enemies beneath you, particularly clustered groups, to make the attack count. This is an active skill that gives you a new action, not a passive bonus.

Wand Evasion Attack

During a dodge, press [LMB] to launch a magical disc through foes, dealing 50% additional weapon damage. It passes through targets in a line, so position enemies in its path before evading. Each use costs 20 Stamina. Alongside Aerial Wand Attack, it lets you fight with a wand while staying mobile instead of standing still to cast.

Every wand user in 1.0 also gets a heavy attack with no skill required. It pierces past the first enemy, so you already have one piercing option before spending a point.

Blast and Cast

After a Critical Strike with a Wand, the base damage of your next Staff attack within 10 seconds is increased by 50%. The buff appears on the HUD with a countdown after the wand crit lands, so you can see the window before you swap weapons. It sits between the Trickster and Wizard parts of the tree and rewards switching between wand and staff mid-fight.

Advanced Necromancy

Advanced Necromancy raises the spell-summoned Hollow ally cap by 3, adding one available ally per level across its three levels. The increased limit applies to the new Summon Hollow Skeleton spell, allowing more skeletons to join the battle. It complements the older Necromancer node, which can call up a friendly Skull Companion when you kill an enemy with a magic weapon, making it useful for a summoner-style mage.

Totem Mastery

Totem Mastery lets you summon up to 3 additional totems, with one more allowed per level over its three levels. With it, Fire Totem, Ice Totem and Shock Totem can remain active at the same time, enabling a totem-focused build.

New bow and dagger skills in Enshrouded 1.0

Puncture

Puncture adds 10% per level to damage dealt by ranged piercing attacks. It requires 2 skill points to unlock. This straightforward boost benefits any bow build that relies on piercing shots.

Barrage

When bow damage lands, Barrage has a 15% chance to restore 1 durability to the bow. In longer fights, that slows the weapon’s wear and keeps a favourite bow usable for more time between repairs.

Survival Instinct

Defeat a Shroud infested enemy using a Bow or Dagger to gain 3 seconds of Time in the Shroud; each level grants three seconds. This is the timer that consumes you when it expires, making the skill a good fit for Bow or Dagger players who stay in the Shroud for long periods and defeat enemies as they go.

Airborne Architect, the ninth new skill, costs 3 points: “Turn into a spark inside the base to move freely through the air in first person while building.” You toggle the mode by holding its key.
