In Enshrouded 1.0, you can bring Paulette Leclair, known as Lady Leclair, to your base as the Alchemist’s assistant. She is in the basement of her home at Glennwood’s End in the Revelwood, and reaching her requires completing the quest “Dark Rites”.
Quick answer: Begin “Dark Rites” in an attic concealed within a home in the Imperial Gardens of Pikemead’s Reach; the trail leads to Glennwood’s End, where you must locate the way into Lady Leclair’s basement and find her soul.
The “Dark Rites” quest, stage by stage
Lady Leclair sits at the end of a three-part quest. Each stage points you to the next location, so the order matters.
Travel to the Imperial Gardens of Pikemead’s Reach and find a way into the hidden attic of one of the homes. The quest opens with the line: “You have reason to believe that one of the homes in the Imperial Gardens of Pikemead’s Reach has a hidden attic, used for conducting magic rituals. Find a way to enter the attic and investigate it!”

Investigate the attic. Your journal updates “Dark Rites” with a new objective and sends you on to Glennwood’s End. The text reads: “You’ve learned that the owner of the attic attempted to cross the threshold between life and death to reunite someone with a dead loved one. The “Ritual of Reunion” that was conducted seems to be the invention of “Lady Leclair” of Glennwood’s End. Search for Lady Leclair’s home in Glennwood’s End and investigate it!”
Search her home in Glennwood’s End, in the Revelwood, and read the note she left. The objective becomes: “The originator of the “Ritual of Reunion”, Lady Leclair, made changes to the incantation to slip into the realm of the dead and find eternal life. In her note, she mentions a basement. Find the entry to her basement and retrieve Lady Leclair!”
