Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced ships with 49 achievements, and Ubisoft published the list ahead of the game’s July 9, 2026 launch. The set drops everything tied to the original’s Animus framing and keeps the focus on Edward Kenway, his ship the Jackdaw, and the open Caribbean. Forty-two come with full descriptions right now, while seven remain hidden until the game goes live.
Quick answer: Every one of the 49 achievements can be unlocked offline and at any difficulty setting, and none of them can be permanently missed during a playthrough.
How the achievement list works: offline, any difficulty, none missable
Three rules govern the whole list, and they remove most of the planning that completionists usually deal with. You do not need an internet connection to unlock anything, the in-game difficulty you pick has no effect on eligibility, and there is no point in a save where an achievement becomes unreachable. The awards are built around fun or unusual activities in the open world rather than story checkpoints, so you can return to clean up anything you skipped.
The count is also smaller than the 2013 release, which carried 60 achievements. The number is identical across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with the Steam list made public first. The hardest achievements to plan around
Most of the list comes through normal play, but a few demand specific setups. Devil Of The Caribbean is the grind, since legendary ships are multi-phase encounters that punish an under-built Jackdaw. Hold off on them until Ship This is close to finished.
Gun-kata has a tight five-second window for four pistol kills, so line up a dense patrol in Havana and open with a double shot. Overdesign IV needs a berserk enemy caught inside a smoke bomb and then kicked off a ship, which lines up most naturally during a boarding rather than a land fight. Ed the Diver is a flat 1,000-meter swimming total that fills in on its own if you explore shipwrecks, but turns into a grind if you skip the water.
The Great Inagua awards also reward early investment. Governor and Dilettante both depend on restoring buildings and filling slots, so funnel Reales back into the base instead of saving everything for ship upgrades first.
What changed from the original Black Flag
The biggest structural shift is the removal of every Animus-sequence achievement, which keeps the list grounded entirely in Edward’s pirate career. Several returning challenges sit alongside new ones built for Resynced’s added systems, including the Officers tied to All Hands On Deck and the diving mechanic behind Davy Jones’s Locker. If you platinumed the 2013 version, the trimmed 49-achievement set will not map cleanly to what you remember.
