Quick answer: Hunters in WoW Forever have 50 talents across Beast Mastery (16), Marksmanship (16) and Survival (18). Points start at level 10, and each new row costs 5 more points in that tree.
How Hunter talents work in WoW Forever
You get your first talent point at level 10 and one more every level after that. By level 60, you have 51 points to spend. Each tree has seven rows. The first row is open from your first point, and every row after it asks for 5 more points spent in that same tree.
- Row 1: open from the first point
- Row 2: 5 points in the tree
- Row 3: 10 points
- Row 4: 15 points
- Row 5: 20 points
- Row 6: 25 points
- Row 7: 30 points
A tree’s gold-medal talents each cost one point and become available at points 11, 16, 21, and 31. The talents at 11, 21, and 31 keep the familiar layout. WoW Forever adds a gold medal at point 16, bringing each Hunter tree’s total to four.
To respec, go to a class trainer in any of the major cities. That same visit also resets your Legacy talents. If you’d rather not keep switching, Dual Specialization unlocks at level 40 and lets you keep two talent setups.

Beast Mastery has 16 talents, and almost all of them are about your pet. Endurance Training adds 15 percent Health and Armor to your pets over five ranks. Focused Fire adds 2 percent damage for both you and your pet while the pet is out. Deadly Aspects ties attack speed procs to Aspect of the Hawk and Aspect of the Beast, and Improved Aspect of the Monkey passes half of the Dodge bonus on to your pet.
Bestial Swiftness earns the first gold medal, increasing your pets’ speed by 30 percent. The next talent, Summon Hawk, calls a hawk to dive on your target and attack it for 18 seconds. You may keep up to two hawks active, and Summon Hawk shares its cooldown with Arcane Shot. Intimidation causes your pet’s next successful attack to stun its target for 3 seconds, gives that attack 100 percent more critical strike chance, and generates high threat. The final talent is Bestial Wrath, available at the 31st point. For 18 seconds, it enrages your pet and increases its damage by 50 percent; nothing can stop the pet during this effect unless it dies.

The Hunter’s role and talents removed or made baseline
In WoW Forever, you can now use traps in combat, but you can still place them only where you’re standing. Hunters have a wide set of Aspects and attacks for solving problems, but they can’t Stun or Interrupt. The three trees let you lean harder into ranged combat or your pet, drop the pet entirely, or add skills that let you move between ranged and melee.
Several older talents are gone from the trees. Some are now abilities every Hunter has, and others were folded into a single talent:
- Improved Eyes of the Beast and Aim Shot are baseline; Improved Hunter’s Mark is too.
- Thick Hide is now part of Endurance Training.
- Wyvern Sting, Killer Instinct and Improved Feign Death are combined into Resourcefulness.
- Monster Slaying and Humanoid Slaying are combined into Improved Tracking.
