Falling With Style is a short quest in Thendal Village on Zephyris Isle that exists for one reason: to teach you what the Skyborn racial ability Walk on Air does. The objective is a single line — Use Walk on Air: 0/1 — and the only way to tick it off is to leap off the village tower and trigger the ability before you hit the ground.

Quick answer: Jump from the tower balcony in Thendal Village, activate Walk on Air while falling, glide to the village floor, then hand the quest in to Rodan the Skyseeker.

Where the Falling With Style quest starts in Thendal Village

The quest begins at the top of the wooden tower in Thendal Village, on the balcony where Myriaal Mistwake <Rangers of Thendal Grove> is standing. That balcony is the intended launch point. You do not need to find a specific edge or ledge elsewhere in the village — the drop straight off the front of the platform is enough height for the ability to matter.

Everything that follows happens inside the village itself, so there is no travel involved. The landing zone, the stone path, and the turn-in building are all within sight of the tower.

Where to find Walk on Air in your spellbook

Walk on Air is a Skyborn racial passive, not a class spell. If it is not already sitting on your action bar, open Spellbook & Abilities and switch to the General tab, where it appears alongside your other baseline entries such as Elemental Insight, Armor Proficiency, Dodge, Throw and Attack.

Drag it onto an action bar slot before you climb the tower. You have a short window mid-fall, and hunting through menus while dropping is the main reason people have to walk back up and try again.

How to complete the Walk on Air objective

Climb to the tower balcony in Thendal Village and position yourself next to Myriaal Mistwake. Face outward toward the open air, not back into the platform.
Confirm Walk on Air is on your action bar and note which key it is bound to. Do this while you are still standing on solid ground.
Jump off the edge of the balcony. Let yourself drop for a moment so the game registers that you are falling rather than hopping.
Press Walk on Air mid-fall. Your descent slows into a glide and you drift down to the village floor without taking the usual fall damage.

The quest tracker updates the instant the glide starts. You are looking for the objective to flip to Use Walk on Air: 1/1, with the “Objective Complete” message on screen. If the counter is still at 0/1 after you land, you activated the ability too late or never triggered it — head back up the tower and repeat the jump.

Turning in Falling With Style to Rodan the Skyseeker

Once you touch down, follow the stone path away from the tower and cross the wooden bridge toward the nearby building. Rodan the Skyseeker <Wind Warrior for Skin> is inside, marked with the usual yellow question mark above his head.

Talk to him and complete the dialogue to collect your reward. The quest clears from your log immediately, which is your confirmation that it registered properly.

Other quests that share the Falling With Style name

Two other quests use nearly the same name, and neither involves Walk on Air. If your objective text does not mention the Skyborn passive, you are probably looking at one of these instead.

The Zuldazar version is a level 50 Horde daily started by Kua’fon and turned in to Wingminder Goja, where you fly through cloud rings to build the pterrordax’s confidence. The Bastion version is a level 60 world quest at the Seat of Eternal Hymns: step into the targeted circle, press the Soaring Ambition extra action button, and drop through the rings for experience and reputation with The Ascended. All three names nod to the same Toy Story line, but only the Thendal Village quest hinges on the Skyborn racial.
