The Hellfire map in Psychedelic Western: Far Far West sits behind a single questline, and that questline sits behind one archaeologist in the Jungle. His name is Arizona Jones, he has the keys to three sealed temples, and he wants seventeen scattered map fragments before he tells you where Hellfire is.
Quick answer: Talk to Arizona Jones in the Jungle to start “Arizona Jones and the Temples of Doom,” then collect 8 fragments in the Skull Temple, 6 in the Maze Temple, and 3 in the Trial Temple. Turn in all three and Hellfire unlocks.
Before you enter: the loadout that matters
There is one rule that catches most players out. Spells do not work inside the temples. Ritual and anything else you normally lean on for sustain is disabled the moment you step through a portal, so your only healing is whatever you brought with you as an item.
That makes the Banjo at level 10 the single most useful thing in your kit, backed up by either a Bottle Crate or a Healing Area at level 13. Lava, traps, and spike corridors all chip away at you between fragments, and there is no other way to top back up.
| Item | Level | Why you want it |
|---|---|---|
| Banjo | 10 | Primary health recovery inside temples |
| Bottle Crate | 13 | Backup recovery option |
| Healing Area | 13 | Alternative to the Bottle Crate |
Dynamite is the other constant. Every temple has at least one cracked wall or cracked rock formation hiding a fragment behind it, so keep a supply on hand throughout.

Skull Temple: all 8 map fragment locations
The longest of the three by a wide margin. Lava is the main threat here, along with a shooting gallery room that gates one fragment behind a target puzzle. Your counter reads “Found X/8 map fragments” each time you pick one up, so use it to track where you are.
| # | Where it is |
|---|---|
| 1 | Near the entrance, easy to grab on arrival |
| 2 | Behind a cracked wall — blow it open with dynamite |
| 3 | Ride the zipline and throw lit dynamite at the cracked rocks |
| 4 | On a platform suspended over lava |
| 5 | In the shooting gallery beneath the main floor; hit or shoot the targets to open the door |
| 6 | Across a lava gap |
| 7 | Behind a timed gate — pull all three levers before it shuts |
| 8 | In the final room with the lava pillars |
Fragment 3 is where the dynamite throw matters most: light it first, then throw it at the cracked rocks while riding. Fragment 7’s gate is on a timer, so pull the levers in a continuous loop rather than stopping to fight anything in between.

Once the counter reads 8/8, head back out and hand the quest in to Arizona.
Maze Temple: all 6 map fragment locations
Select the Maze Temple quest from Arizona and enter the second portal. The name is literal — a chunk of this temple is a walled maze, and one of the fragments is what unlocks the maze door in the first place.

| # | Where it is |
|---|---|
| 1 | Down the left path, past a run of traps |
| 2 | Directly beneath the entrance portal |
| 3 | Straight ahead from the entrance — grabbing it also unlocks the maze door |
| 4 | Inside the maze, behind the first cracked wall you can dynamite |
| 5 | Up the left-side ladders and platforms |
| 6 | Up the right-side ladders, past several traps |
Fragment 2 is the one people miss. It sits underneath the portal you arrived through, so look down before you start walking. Take fragment 3 next since it opens the maze, then work the walls inside with dynamite before moving to the ladder climbs on either side.

Trial Temple: all 3 map fragment locations
The final quest is found behind a waterfall. Only three fragments here, but each is a self-contained challenge rather than a search — one platforming run, one timed puzzle, one trap gauntlet.

| # | Path | What it takes |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Left | Precise jumps across the green jump tires |
| 2 | Middle | Swing on vines and pull 5 levers within 25 seconds |
| 3 | Right | Cross a trap-filled corridor, then dynamite the wall at the end |
The middle path is the hard one. Five levers, 25 seconds, and vine swings between them, so plan your route before you touch the first lever. If the timer runs out you can simply reset and try again — nothing else in the room resets with it.
How to confirm Hellfire is unlocked
Return to Arizona Jones after the Trial Temple and turn in the last quest. The reward listed on the questline is the Hellfire Map, and handing in that third temple is what grants it. The quest board will show all three temples completed, with Play Again available on each if you want to run them for anything you left behind.
Note: fragments do not carry over between temples. Each portal tracks its own count, and the quest will not complete until that specific temple’s counter is full, so a partial 7/8 in the Skull Temple blocks the chain even if everything else is done.
Arizona Jones is the only route into Hellfire, and the Jungle itself has to be unlocked through questline progression first. If the temple portals will not open, that is the thing to check — the archaeologist holds the keys, and he does not hand them over until you have found him in the Jungle.
