Far Far West: How to Whisper a Code to the Ghost NPC

In Far Far West, promo codes are not entered through a settings or rewards menu. Redemption happens in the world itself, by walking up to a glowing ghost bounty hunter in the hub town and using the interaction prompt that reads "Whisper a code." Entering a valid code there delivers the reward to your account immediately.

Quick answer: Exit the saloon, walk past the shooting range, climb the stairs on the left, press F on the glowing ghost NPC at the top, and type a valid code such as 250KCOWBOYS to claim 1,000 Gold.

Where to find the "Whisper a code" prompt

The ghost bounty hunter sits in the main hub town, not far from the saloon that acts as the lobby. The path is short, but the NPC is easy to walk past if you stick to the central street.

Step 1: Load into Far Far West and spawn into the hub town. The saloon is the central building most players use as a meeting point.

Step 2: Leave the saloon and head toward the shooting range, also referred to in-game as the firing range. Keep moving past it rather than stopping to use the targets.

Step 3: Look for a staircase on the left side just beyond the shooting range and climb it to the upper platform.

Step 4: Walk up to the glowing ghost NPC at the top of the stairs. The prompt will read "Whisper a code." Press F to open the input box, type the code exactly as written, and confirm.

Active Far Far West code

One promo code is currently live. It was issued by Evil Raptor on May 1, 2026 to mark the game crossing 250,000 players in early access. No expiry has been published, but live-service codes can be pulled at any time, so redeem it sooner rather than later.

Codes are case-sensitive. Type the characters exactly, with no leading or trailing spaces, or the input will be rejected as invalid.

Expired codes from earlier builds

Several codes circulated during the demo, playtest, and pre-launch periods. They no longer grant rewards, but the redemption flow at the ghost NPC is the same one that handled them, so the system will be reused for any future drops.

Each code can only be redeemed once per account, so re-entering an expired code on a new character will not reset the reward.

How to confirm the code worked

A successful redemption closes the input box and adds the reward to your inventory or balance straight away. For 250KCOWBOYS, the Gold counter on your HUD should jump by 1,000 within a second of confirming.

If the reward does not appear, the most common causes are straightforward:

  • A typo, wrong case, or stray space in the code.
  • Server instability around the time a code is first released. Around the May 1 launch of 250KCOWBOYS, players reported delayed rewards tied to server issues.
  • The code has already been used on that account.

If the spelling is correct and the code is still active, leaving the server and rejoining a few minutes later usually pushes the reward through. Restarting the game can also force the inventory to refresh against the latest server state.

Note: Evil Raptor has not published a fixed schedule for new codes, but the 250,000-player reward signals that further milestone or event codes are likely. When new ones appear, they will be entered through the same ghost NPC, so the path past the saloon and shooting range is worth remembering.
