The chameleon count in Chameleon Finders’ Roblox scavenger hunt moved from 280 to 301 with the update pushed on 9/6/2026, and the experience title now reads Find the Chameleons [301]. All 21 additions are spread across six existing zones, and none of them require a rebirth or a new unlock path beyond the VIP cage at Spawn.
Quick answer: Collect one VIP chameleon and four Spawn/Mecha-Mart chameleons at Spawn, four on Lighthouse island, two in the Kraken area, two in Candy, four in Snow, and four in the Desert. When the last one registers, the Index header changes from 280/301 to 301/301.
All 21 new chameleons, rarity and location
Names follow the zone-plus-number pattern used everywhere in the Index, so the new entries slot in at the bottom of each biome list. Rarity does not change how you collect them; it only affects how well hidden the model is.

Start at the VIP Character cage in the spawn hub. The chameleon is placed inside the cage itself, and the area carries an UNLOCK prompt that gates access, so handle that before you try to line up a shot. It registers as Mythic VIP in the Index.

Spawn130 is the easiest of the batch and sits out in the open on the gray stone steps a short walk from the hub. Two more are indoors at Mecha-Mart. Spawn128 rests on a shelf next to the paint cans, while Spawn127 is tucked behind one of the yellow signs, so you need an angle from the side rather than straight on.
Finish the area by walking around to the rear of the Mecha-Mart building. Spawn129 sits on top of a fence post there, at roughly eye level, and is easy to walk past if you only scan the ground.
Lighthouse island and the pirate ship
Four of the new chameleons live on Lighthouse island, and three of them are Legendary. Head for the tower first and climb the ladder fixed to its side; Lighthouse18 is attached to the ladder itself, so look as you ascend instead of rushing to the top. Lighthouse17 is nearby on top of the stack of green blocks at ground level.

The pirate ship anchored off the island holds the other two. Lighthouse19 is up on the mast, which means climbing the rigging and checking the upper section rather than sweeping the deck. Lighthouse20 is not on the ship at all but on the tall brown pole standing beside it, high enough that you need to aim upward from the shoreline.

Kraken dock and the Candy bridge
The Kraken area only gained two, both Normal rarity and both at ground level. Kraken37 sits on the grass right beside the black pig prop, and Kraken36 is perched on the wooden signpost near the dock. Neither is camouflaged against a busy texture, so a single lap of the dock area clears both.
Candy adds two Hard entries. Candy26 is on the railing of the wooden bridge, low enough that the bridge deck can block your view if you stand too close. Candy27 is on the giant candy cane, and its colors blend into the stripes, so move around it until the silhouette breaks up the pattern.
Snow area: four around the village and pond
Snow37 is the only Hard one here and the only one that requires looking up. It rests on the wire strung between utility poles, so scan the cable line rather than the poles themselves. The remaining three are all Normal.
Snow36 is balanced on a fishing rod by the frozen pond, Snow38 is inside the wooden cabin, and Snow39 sits on a wooden signpost out in the snow. Walk the cabin interior fully before leaving, since the model is small against the timber walls.

Tip: if a Snow entry refuses to appear, the paid teleport to the closest chameleon drops you next to whatever is nearest, which is a quick way to break a stalemate around the pond and tree line.
Desert entrance and the pyramid maze
Two of the Desert additions are outdoors. Desert35, the second Mythic in this batch, sits on the pile of crates near the Desert entrance, and Desert34 is tucked under the roof of the wooden shelter, which means crouching your camera below the roofline to see it.
The last two are inside the pyramid maze and both are Legendary. Desert37 waits at a dead end fairly early in the corridors, and Desert36 is at another dead end deeper in. Treat every dead end as a stop rather than a wrong turn, because both models are placed exactly where the path terminates.
How to confirm you reached 301/301
Each successful hit shows the chameleon’s rarity and name on screen, which is your immediate confirmation that the entry registered. Reopen the Index after any awkward shot and check that the specific name is now filled in rather than trusting the counter alone.

The two most common reasons a find does not count are shooting a decoy surface next to the model instead of the model itself, and stopping at the first dead end in the pyramid maze on the assumption there is only one. Clearing the VIP cage requirement is the other gate, since that entry cannot be collected from outside.
Once all 21 register, the header switches to 301/301 and the collection is complete for the current version. Servers hold up to 18 players, so a full clear on a busy server is faster if you work through one zone at a time rather than following other players between teleports.
