The Fable Rose is one of the four Ritual Roses in Fisch’s FischFright 3 Halloween event. The only way to get it is to finish the “FischFright 2026: Dullahan” major quest at the Haunted Mansion. There is no shop listing and no purchase option. You clear three objectives, return to Dullahan, and he hands the Rose over.
Quick answer: Catch and return one Dobhar, finish all six Haunted Mansion side quests, and grab Dullahan’s Heirloom from the mansion rafters. Then talk to Dullahan to receive the Fable Rose.
Dullahan quest objectives and rewards
The quest sits under Major Quests in your Quest Book, filed under the Haunted Mansion entry. It lists three objectives, and each one has its own progress counter. You can do them in any order.
| Objective | Where | Counter |
|---|---|---|
| Catch and return 1 Dobhar | Frightful Pools | 0/1 |
| Complete all mansion side quests | Haunted Mansion | 0/6 |
| Obtain 1 Dullahan’s Heirloom | Mansion rafters | 0/1 |
The Quest Book lists the rewards as the Fable Rose, 3,000 Treats, and 18,000 XP. The XP notification you get at turn-in can show a larger number than 18,000, because bonus XP is added when you hand the quest in.

Add to Google Preferences →How to catch the Dobhar for Dullahan
The Dobhar only bites in the Halloween Frightful Pools. These are glowing event pools that spawn at random near islands in the main world, and they move around over time. Variants include the Grim, Vile, Doomed, and Eldritch Frightful Pools. Spawns are announced in Global chat, so keep it unmuted while you hunt.
The Dobhar is a rare catch. It can come from any Frightful Pool, but your odds improve in the Vile Frightful Pool. Equip your highest-luck rod and a bait with a strong universal luck bonus before you start casting. When you land one, the catch message names it (for example, “You just caught a Giant Sovereign Dobhar”). The Quest Book’s Dobhar counter then reads 1/1.

The later Haunted Cemetery Ritual also needs a Dobhar in one of its Skeletal Hand slots. If you plan to run the full ritual chain, keep fishing after your first catch.
Haunted Mansion side quests (all six NPCs)
This objective takes the most time. Every resident of the Haunted Mansion gives you a separate questline, such as “FischFright 2026: Chef Ghoulash” or “FischFright 2026: Portrait of Percival.” A resident’s quest only counts once you return to that resident and close it out. Talk to each of them with the interaction prompt.
- Butler Bartholomew
- Lady Lenore
- Chef Ghoulash
- Maid Marrow
- Portrait of Percival
- Nanny Nocturne

Each finished side quest raises the Quest Book counter, shown as “Complete all side quests from the Haunted Mansion’s inhabitants.” Some side quests also pay out on their own, with Treats and items like Frightful Caskets. If a resident won’t offer you a new quest, you may already have one active from them. Talk to them again before you move on.
Dullahan’s Heirloom location
Dullahan’s Heirloom is inside the Haunted Mansion, up in the high rafters around the chandelier. You have to climb the mansion’s interior architecture to reach it. Once you’re beside it, press the [E] Pick Up prompt. The message “You just got a Dullahan’s Heirloom!” confirms it, and the Heirloom counter switches to 1/1.

Turn in the quest to Dullahan for the Fable Rose
[E] Talk. Choose the dialogue option that hands over the mansion quests, the Heirloom, and the Dobhar.
Using the Fable Rose at the Skeleton Hand altar
The Fable Rose awakens Korvath’s Grasp, one of the Skeleton Hands at the Cemetery ritual site. The site is lined with candles and carved jack-o’-lanterns. Walk up to the bony hand altar while carrying the Rose. You’ll see the prompt “Awaken with Fable Rose.” Without the Rose, it reads “Need Fable Rose.”
Press [E] Awaken to spend the Rose and wake the hand. Awakened Skeletal Hands are the gate for the higher FischFright 3 rituals. Those rituals lead to the Dutchman’s Rod, the Omniscient Spinecaster, and the Nessie catches.
