The Outer Deep is a small pocket of land you reach shortly after arriving at The Deep in Fisch, and it holds 21 fish to log. Each one has its own combination of bait, weather, time of day, and season, so filling out this page takes planning rather than luck.

Reaching the Outer Deep
The Outer Deep sits to the right of the main The Deep marker. Leave the temple and swim toward the right side until you find the small stretch of land.
If you lose your bearings, open your GPS and set a course straight to (558, -2388, -12929). That coordinate drops you at the land itself, so you can start fishing without wandering the surrounding water.
Gear you need before fishing
Most of the Outer Deep requires a Harpoon Gun to fish. If you do not own one yet, the Steady Harpoon Gun is sold at the docks of Roslit Bay for C$ 9,000, which is enough to start pulling in the lower rarities.
The Steady model can feel underpowered against tougher catches. If you have the coins, a stronger harpoon gun makes the higher-rarity fish far less of a grind.

Tips for matching conditions faster
Several catches share the same requirements, so plan your trips around them. Mero Goby and Tripod Fish both want clear, daytime, winter conditions, which lets you chase two entries in one window.
The Broken Flashlight is trash rather than a true fish, and it comes up with a Magnet under any conditions, so grab it whenever you have a Magnet equipped. The Whalefish is the toughest target here, since it needs Bio-Infused Coral, foggy weather, night, and summer all lined up at once.
How to confirm 100% completion
Open the Bestiary with the H key and select the Outer Deep page. Every fish you still need shows as a dark silhouette with its hint in place of a description, so anything filled in is already logged.
Completion is shown as a percentage under the location page. When it reaches full, the text turns yellow, and finishing the page rewards coins, XP, and a cosmetic bobber. Secret, Apex, Divine Secret, and Limited fish do not count toward that total, so you do not need them to hit 100% here.
Work through the confirmed entries first, keep a Magnet on hand for the Broken Flashlight, and save the Whalefish for a night in summer when fog rolls in. Once the Outer Deep page glows yellow, you are done and can move on to the next stretch of The Deep.
