The Rod of the Singularity is one of the heaviest-capacity rods in Fisch, and it sits behind two connected quest chains inside the Astral Cavern network. You start with Corvus, hand in four mutated items to earn a Dyson Sphere, then take that sphere to Merlin and catch five special components scattered across separate Astral Cavern locations. Neither quest is difficult mechanically, but both demand specific rods, totems, and bait to force the right mutations.
Quick answer: Talk to Corvus in the Abyssal Zenith Astral Cavern, deliver 12 Nova Gold Pieces, 12 Celestial Scrap Metal, 1 Shiny or Sparkling Celestial Crowned Anglerfish, and 1 Nova Hardened Glass to receive the Dyson Sphere. Give the sphere to Merlin, catch the five Collapse components, and return to Merlin to unlock the rod.
Gear you need before starting
The whole questline depends on forcing two mutations onto items you catch. The “Nova” mutation comes from the Cerulean Fang Rod or the Rod of the Cosmos. The “Celestial” mutation comes from the Celestial Rod. Garbage bait raises the chance of pulling up trash-type items like scrap metal, and totems let you set the weather, time, and luck conditions needed for the rarer catches.
| Item | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Cerulean Fang Rod / Rod of the Cosmos | Applies the Nova mutation |
| Celestial Rod | Applies the Celestial mutation |
| Omnirod | Used for the Stabilizer Core catch |
| Garbage bait | Increases trash-item catches (scrap metal) |
| Sundial, Aurora, Shiny Totems | Set time, weather, and luck for rare fish |

Add to Google Preferences →Corvus quest: gather four items for the Dyson Sphere
Corvus stands in the Abyssal Zenith Astral Cavern. From Moosewood, route through Roslit Bay, teleport to Abyssal Zenith, then navigate into the Astral Cavern to reach him. Talking to Corvus opens the first collection quest.

| Corvus quest item | Amount | Where / how |
|---|---|---|
| Nova Gold Piece | 12 | Mineshaft, Cerulean Fang Rod / Rod of the Cosmos |
| Celestial Scrap Metal | 12 | The Depths, Celestial Rod + Garbage bait |
| Shiny/Sparkling Celestial Crowned Anglerfish | 1 | Abyssal Zenith, Shiny Totem + Celestial Rod |
| Nova Hardened Glass | 1 | Abyssal Zenith Astral Cavern, Nova rod |
Merlin quest: catch the five Collapse components
Deliver the Dyson Sphere to Merlin to trigger the “Rod of the Singularity: Collapse” quest. This stage asks for five unique fish, each found in a different Astral Cavern. Placing a teleport point near Merlin saves a lot of travel time between catches.

| Collapse component | Astral Cavern location |
|---|---|
| Levitas Stabilizer Core | Abyssal Zenith (Omnirod) |
| Sacratus Unstable Crystal | Cryogenic Canal |
| Levitas Umbral Matrix | Everturn Forest |
| Sovereign Singularity Control Unit | Snowcap Island |
| Levitas Stellar Wiring | Astral Cavern catch |
How to confirm the unlock and the rod’s stats
When you turn in the fifth component, Merlin completes the Collapse quest and the Rod of the Singularity appears in your inventory. If it does not register, check that each component still carries its correct prefix and that you caught them fresh in the right cavern, since a mismatched item will not count toward the turn-in.
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Lure Speed | 60% |
| Luck | 70% |
| Control | 0.1 |
| Resilience | 20% |
| Max Kg | 100,000kg |
| Preferred Luck | 0% |
| Progress Speed | 10% |
The high weight ceiling and 70% Luck make the Rod of the Singularity a strong pick for pulling heavy, rare catches once you have finished both chains. Keep your Nova and Celestial rods on hand until the very end, because every mutated item Corvus and Merlin ask for depends on the exact rod you cast with.
