Fisch Money Method: Deep Lens and Abyssal Alignment Explained

Craft the Deep Lens, stack weight buffs, and fish the Desolate Brine Pool to sell catches for tens of millions of C$.

Craft the Deep Lens, stack weight buffs, and fish the Desolate Brine Pool to sell catches for tens of millions of C$.

The telescope mechanic in Fisch turns fish weight into serious cash. By crafting the Deep Lens and activating the telescope, you trigger the Abyssal Alignment event for a +20% weight buff, then stack it with weight-boosting gear to reel in heavier, higher-value fish. Run it at the Desolate Brine Pool during a Brine Storm and a single sell can clear tens of millions of C$.

Quick answer: Complete Astronomer Vega‘s two quests, craft the Deep Lens (1x Hardened Glass, 1x Abyssal Comb Jelly, 1x Abyssal Resin), insert it into the telescope and activate it for Abyssal Alignment (+20% weight). Stack weight buffs, fish the Desolate Brine Pool during a Brine Storm, and pop a Gold Coin right before selling.

Unlock Astronomer Vega and the telescope

The whole method runs off the telescope, which Astronomer Vega controls. Before you can craft any lens, you must clear the two quests Vega gives you. Once those are done, the telescope and the lens crafting menu open up.

Find Astronomer Vega and press E to start the conversation. Complete both of Vega’s quests to unlock access to the telescope.

Deep Lens crafting materials

The Deep Lens needs three materials, each caught in a specific spot with a specific bait. The Resin must be appraised to gain the Abyssal mutation before it counts as Abyssal Resin.

MaterialRarityWhere and how to catch
Abyssal Comb JellyMythicalAstral Observatory, at night in clear weather, using shrimp bait
Hardened GlassExoticAstral Observatory, using magnet bait
Abyssal ResinSecretMuskgrove Swamp; catch Resin, then appraise it for the Abyssal mutation

You can reach the Astral Cavern and Abyssal Zenith to farm the Comb Jelly and Hardened Glass. A glider makes the underwater navigation faster.

Craft the Deep Lens and trigger Abyssal Alignment

Return to Vega’s lab with all three materials and craft the Deep Lens from the lens menu.
Insert the Deep Lens into the telescope and activate it. Look up when prompted to launch the event.

Activation starts Abyssal Alignment, which grants a +20% fish weight buff. You’ll see the event confirmation on screen once it’s live, and that is your cue to head out and fish.

Stack weight buffs for heavier fish

Weight and size buffs stack, and that stacking is what makes the method profitable. Heavier fish sell for more, so layer as many weight sources as you can on top of Abyssal Alignment.

SourceBuff
Abyssal Alignment (event)+20% weight
Shell of Depth+20% size
Relic Construct companion+5% weight
Starforged Spirit Halibut Harpoon rod+65% weight
Paradise mutation+5% weight

Equip the Halibut Harpoon, the Relic Construct companion, and Truffle Worm bait before you start. Truffle Worm opens with a G prompt.

Fish the Desolate Brine Pool during a Brine Storm

With the buffs active, travel to the Desolate Brine Pool and fish while a Brine Storm is happening. The storm brings in high-value species, and your stacked weight multipliers push each catch’s value up further.

Keep fishing through the storm to build a full inventory of heavy catches. Standout fish include the Caustic Starwyrm, which can sell for around 3.5M C$ on its own.

Sell with a Gold Coin for maximum profit

Timing the sale is the final multiplier. A Gold Coin consumable raises all fish sell values by 25% for 30 seconds, so use it right before you dump your inventory.

Open your inventory once it’s full of Brine Storm catches.
Pop a Gold Coin, then sell everything within the 30-second window. In one run, this produced a sale of 137 fish for 96,865,967 C$ in roughly 12 minutes.

You’ll know it worked when the sell confirmation shows the +25% sell rate boost active and the total lands far above the base value.

Telescope lens comparison

The Deep Lens is the one built for money, but the telescope supports five lenses, each triggering a different buff or event. Swap in whichever fits your goal for a session.

The setup carries over to other spots too. Once Abyssal Alignment is active and your weight buffs are stacked, the same approach works with any rod or fishing location, so pick the highest-value pool you can reach and keep selling under a Gold Coin.
