Fisch Skycrest Location and How to Reach the Floating Island

Two working routes up to Skycrest from Fischfest Island, the gear each one needs, and how to tell you made it.

Two working routes up to Skycrest from Fischfest Island, the gear each one needs, and how to tell you made it.

Skycrest is the floating island sitting above Fischfest in Fisch, and it is not reachable from Moosewood on foot or by boat. It rose out of the water directly under the Fischfest area, which means every route to it starts at Fischfest Island and goes straight up. There are two that work reliably, and one of them costs you nothing but oxygen management.

Quick answer: Enter the Fischfest Clam in Moosewood to teleport to Fischfest Island, walk past the merchant to the edge of the island, then either fly up in Glorp’s Saucer or swim upward through the vertical water column until you surface on Skycrest.

Skycrest location: Above Fischfest Island

Skycrest hangs in the sky above Fischfest, the limited-time event area. From the shoreline of Fischfest Island — specifically the edge past the merchant stall — you can look up and see the island silhouetted in the distance. That sightline is your reference point for both routes, so get it before you commit to a climb.

Because Skycrest is an expansion of Fischfest rather than a standalone landmass, its access window is tied to the event. The island opened on September 5th, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET and the window runs through September 12th, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET, the same moment Fischfest 2026 closes. If you are splitting your time between Sunshell objectives and the new island, plan for that overlap on the final Saturday.

Step 1 for both routes: Teleport to Fischfest Island

Head to Moosewood and find the Fischfest Clam, the large shell that serves as the event teleporter. Step into it to be moved to Fischfest Island. This is the only staging point you need for either method.
Once you land, walk past the merchant toward the island’s edge. Line yourself up with Skycrest overhead before you launch or dive, since both routes are vertical and it is easy to drift sideways.

Route 1: Fly up with Glorp’s Saucer

This is the fastest and least fiddly option. Glorp’s Saucer is a flying boat, so it ignores the water column entirely and takes you to the island’s deck in one trip.

Spawn Glorp’s Saucer at the edge of Fischfest Island and climb aboard. Face it toward Skycrest before you start ascending.
Fly straight up and toward the island until you are level with its landmass, then bring the saucer in and disembark on solid ground. No oxygen, flippers, or diving gear are involved on this route.

Route 2: Swim up the water column

If you do not own the saucer, the intended path matches the developers’ own pitch for the island — swim up to it. A vertical column of water connects the sea around Fischfest to Skycrest, and you climb it by swimming.

Equip your diving gear and flippers before you enter the water. The ascent is long enough that unequipped players run out of air partway up.
Enter the water column off the edge of Fischfest Island and swim continuously upward, keeping the Tidebreaker on hand so your oxygen holds for the full climb.
Keep going until you break the surface on Skycrest itself. You arrive on the island rather than beside it, so there is no jump or ledge grab to time.

Gear checklist for the swimming route

ItemWhat it does on the climb
Diving gearExtends how long you can stay submerged during the vertical swim
FlippersSpeeds up the ascent so you spend less air getting to the top
TidebreakerKeeps you from running out of oxygen before you reach Skycrest

Note: this is the only part of the trip where a mistake sends you back to the start. Running dry on oxygen mid-column is the common failure, and it is almost always down to skipping one of the three items above.

How to confirm you reached Skycrest

You will know the trip worked the moment you can walk around on the island’s surface with Fischfest below you. Skycrest is populated rather than empty, with NPCs, shrines, and fishing spots spread across it, and your Idol Level appears as a tracked stat once you are engaging with the island’s progression.

The other confirmation is what comes out of the water. Cast at one of the island’s spots and you can pull species that do not appear down at sea level, including the Celestial Pearl Danio. If your rod is landing Skycrest-exclusive catches, you are in the right place.

Do not confuse Skycrest with Above the Clouds

Fisch already had sky content before this island arrived, and the routes are not interchangeable. Above the Clouds is a Hang Glider run launched from Castaway Cliffs, tied to the Underground Music Venue and Mysterious Songstress chain. It does not lead to Skycrest, and no glider is needed for the floating island.

Likewise, Heaven’s Rod and its energy crystal puzzle in the Northern Expedition are separate content that stays put whether or not Skycrest is open. Skycrest has exactly one starting point, and it is the Fischfest Clam in Moosewood.

Whichever route you take, do it on a live server in the Fisch experience on Roblox — weather events and hunts on the island apply to everyone in the session, so the population around you matters. And since the island’s window closes alongside Fischfest on September 12th at 12:00 PM ET, the swim is worth doing early rather than saving for the last afternoon.
