Helperbot is the cardboard robot that has been sitting broken in the Forsaken lobby for months, and they are now being tested as a playable Support survivor. Testers have been spotted using them in matches, which is what moved Helperbot from rumor to confirmed upcoming content. Everyone else is still locked out.
Quick answer: You cannot get Helperbot yet. They are playable only by Forsaken testers, and when they do ship, the expected unlock is a repair quest for D3functB0t, the damaged robot NPC sitting in a chair in the lobby. Open your Inventory and check the Survivors roster — if Helperbot is not listed there, the character has not been released for your account.
Helperbot release status in Forsaken
Helperbot’s public testing phase started during the Forsaken Summer Games 2026 event, which is where most of the in-game footage of them came from. Testers can load into normal matches with the character, so ordinary players have seen Helperbot in games without being able to select them.
No official release date or time has been confirmed for Helperbot. Because their obtainment method has effectively already been telegraphed by the developers, they are widely expected to arrive before other queued-up characters, but nothing about the timing is locked in.
The D3functB0t repair quest route
D3functB0t is the broken-down robot NPC slumped in a chair in the lobby. Helperbot is the repaired version of that same character, and the developer sneak peek pointed to a quest as the way players will fix them up. That would make Helperbot the second survivor unlocked through a quest, after Jane Doe.
The lore lines up with the repair framing. Helperbot was built to assist Roblox creators, arrived in The Spectre’s realm damaged enough to earn the D3functB0t nickname, and has been slowly patched back together by Builderman using generator parts. Builderman’s involvement was confirmed in the official Helperbot teaser.
Until the quest goes live, there is nothing to trigger. Talking to the NPC, finishing generators faster, or grinding Player Points will not accelerate anything, because the quest itself has not shipped.
Helperbot stats
The numbers make the role obvious. Helperbot has the lowest health tier you would expect from a Support pick, paired with unusually strong stamina recovery, so they can reposition between teammates instead of trading hits with a killer.

Regaining 20 stamina per second while only burning 10 per second means Helperbot refills faster than they drain during short sprint bursts. At 80 HP, though, two clean hits from most killers is all it takes, so the stat spread rewards staying at the edge of a chase rather than in it.
Helperbot abilities: Haste buff, Pulse, and generator reveal
Everything in the kit is aimed at other people. Helperbot does not use tools, food, drinks, or thrown objects at all, which makes them the only survivor whose entire loadout is buffs and information.

Regeneration I heals 15 HP over its 5 seconds, and Resistance I cuts incoming damage by 20% for the same window. That combination is small on its own, but dropped onto a teammate mid-chase it is the difference between one more hit and a down.
The reveal has appeared in two forms during testing. Some footage shows it as a button Helperbot presses to light up generators for the team, while another version runs automatically every 12 seconds, flashing every item and generator to all survivors for 2 seconds. Either way, the practical effect is the same — nobody on the team wastes a minute hunting for the next objective.
Note: Cooldowns are the least settled part of the kit. The Pulse has been listed at 40 seconds with a 2.5-second windup, while tester footage suggested something closer to 15 to 20 seconds. Treat any specific timer as provisional until the character ships.
How to check whether Helperbot has unlocked for you
One thing worth keeping straight: Helperbot is not the same entry as D3functB0t or Helper Bot MK2, and it is separate from the fan-made Helper Bot concepts floating around community wikis. Only the version tied to the D3functB0t repair is the upcoming survivor.
Where Helperbot comes from
The model is the “Mr Roboto” bundle paired with the “Mr Robot” hat, textured to look like a robot built out of cardboard and aluminium foil. The head is an upside-down box with a face and buttons drawn in black marker and three wobbly antennas poking out. It comes straight from the NPC in Welcome to Roblox Building, one of the Mr. Robot characters Roblox has used as a mascot since the hat first appeared in 2009.
Once Helperbot goes live, the play pattern is already clear enough from testing. Hover near whoever is on a generator, drop the Haste buff when the team needs to scatter, and save the Pulse for the moment a teammate is one hit from going down. The 80 HP pool means you will not be surviving a chase yourself, so the value comes from being close enough to matter and far enough to leave.
