How to Unlock and Play Azure in Forsaken

Everything Azure costs, his full stat block, and how his plant traps build toward the Golem transformation.

Everything Azure costs, his full stat block, and how his plant traps build toward the Golem transformation.

Azure, also known as Azurewrath, is the trapper-style Killer added to Forsaken on July 17, 2026. He plants vines and bulbs that react to Survivor movement, stacks a buff called Oblation while he pressures them, and eventually transforms into a Golem that carries most of his damage. He is one of the more demanding characters to pilot, so knowing exactly how his traps feed the transformation is the difference between a slow grind and a fast down.

Quick answer: Buy Azure for 2,000 Cash in the Inventory, place Seeker’s Bulbs and Stigmatize vines to apply Atropa and build 15 Oblation stacks, then use Inflorescence to become the Golem for 45 seconds of high-damage attacks.

How to unlock Azure and his base stats

Azure sits in the Inventory as a purchasable Killer, the same as most of the roster. He costs 2,000 Cash, which makes him one of the pricier unlocks in the game. Once bought, he is available to select before a match.

His stat sheet splits into two states, the base form and the Golem form, and the numbers change when he transforms.

Azure’s passives: sound triggers, Atropa, and Oblation

Azure’s plants are triggered by sound. If a Survivor sprints or uses an ability close to one, the plant activates and attacks. Any Survivor hit by a plant has their aura revealed to Azure for three seconds, so his traps double as tracking tools.

The Atropa status effect is the engine that powers his whole kit. Applying Atropa and landing hits generates Oblation, the stack you need to transform. The rules below govern how both stacks behave.

  • Hitting a Survivor afflicted with Atropa using Perforating grants one Oblation stack.
  • If Atropa expires on its own, Azure gains one Oblation stack for every two Atropa stacks.
  • Atropa stacks add one point of damage to Perforating and Pummeling; hitting an afflicted Survivor with either move clears their Atropa.
  • Atropa reveals a Survivor’s aura based on how many stacks they carry.
  • Seeker’s Bulb applies one stack of Atropa on hit; Stigmatize applies three.
  • A Survivor can hold up to 6 Atropa stacks, and Azure can hold up to 15 Oblation stacks.

His third passive covers how the plants survive. Survivors can disarm plants unless those plants are in the Blooming state. Only Seeker’s Bulb and Stigmatize’s vines can Bloom. While Blooming, Seeker’s Bulbs fire faster and Stigmatize vines always trigger when a Survivor is in range. When they are not Blooming, plants from these two skills wither and go inactive for 30 seconds before returning to the Blooming state.

Azure’s base-form skills

Before the Golem, Azure relies on five abilities to trap, poke, and control space. Two of them place the plants that drive Atropa, one is a straight melee poke, one is a grab-and-throw, and the last is the transformation trigger.

SkillWhat it does
PerforatingJabs tentacles forward for 22 damage and triggers nearby plants on hit.
Seeker’s BulbSpawns a bulb on a surface that fires at nearby Survivors for 4 damage per hit and applies one Atropa stack. Up to three can be placed at once.
StigmatizeSummons vine traps that snare a triggering Survivor. Trapped targets take up to 10 damage and are freed after five seconds with a Speed II buff.
EnstrangleAzure stops moving and sends a tentacle out. On hit it deals 10 damage and snares the Survivor, letting Azure throw them for extra damage and a knockdown. Throwing applies Helpless, cutting his stamina regen by 75%.
InflorescenceAt 15 Oblation stacks, transforms into the Golem for 45 seconds. The transformation animation takes 4.8 seconds.

The plan in this form is straightforward. Watch how the Survivors move, lay traps in chokepoints and near objectives, and keep applying Atropa so your Oblation climbs. Perforating is your reliable way to convert Atropa into stacks, so poke afflicted targets whenever the opening is there.

The Golem transformation and its abilities

Inflorescence is where Azure spikes. Once you reach 15 Oblation stacks, you can transform into the Golem for 45 seconds. You can stop controlling it at any point to freeze it into a statue, which pauses the transformation timer. While in Golem form, Azure cannot earn more Oblation.

The Golem is durable. Its passive cuts all incoming negative status effects by 50% and it cannot be stunned. If it is hit by a stun, it takes 3 seconds of Slowness II and Helpless instead of being staggered.

Golem skillEffect
PummelingSwipes a claw forward for 26 damage.
BloomingSlams the ground for an area attack that deals up to 35 damage and knocks down anyone caught.
UnearthingStomps for a shockwave that knocks Survivors down, deals 15 damage, and leaves a fissure that slows by 70% for eight seconds.
BurrowingReverts back to Azure.

Your damage rotation is Pummeling and Blooming, with Unearthing used to control space. Against a fleeing Survivor, lead with Unearthing to knock them over and slow the ground, then follow with Pummeling and Blooming while they are stuck. Because the transformation is timed and cannot be extended once it starts, commit it near Survivors you have already set up with traps rather than burning it on an empty chase.

Played well, Azure is a slow starter who snowballs hard once the traps are down and the Golem is online. Focus the early rounds on unbroken Atropa pressure so your Oblation never stalls, keep your best plants in the Blooming state so Survivors cannot disarm them, and save Inflorescence for the moment a Survivor is already boxed in. That timing, more than any single ability, is what turns a five-star difficulty Killer into a real threat.
