Fortnite Claim 3 Capture Points Quest in Star Wars Galactic Siege

The Claim 3 Capture Points quest is part of the Star Wars Galactic Siege track inside the Unleash the Force quest set in Fortnite. It rewards 10,000 XP toward the current Battle Pass and counts toward the bonus cosmetic milestones (banner, spray, loading screen, Sith Holocron Back Bling, and Shock Trooper Electrostaff Pickaxe). The quest is tied to a single, specific action inside the Galactic Siege mode rather than anything in Battle Royale or Zero Build.

Quick answer: Load Star Wars Galactic Siege, stand inside an enemy or neutral control point until the capture bar fills to 100% so the point flips to your team, then repeat on two more points across one or more rounds.

Where to play: Star Wars Galactic Siege mode

Capture Points only exist in Galactic Siege, a conquest-style mode where the Empire and Rebels fight for map control. You cannot complete this quest in Battle Royale, Reload, OG, or any non-Galactic Siege playlist. Launch Fortnite, open the Discover screen, and select Star Wars Galactic Siege from the modes list.

Once you load in, you spawn in the cantina hub. A round timer at the top of the screen shows when the next match begins, and you are randomly assigned to either the Empire or the Rebels for that round.

What counts as claiming a capture point

A claim registers when a control point that is not already owned by your team flips to your color. You do this by standing inside the marked capture radius until the on-screen capture meter reaches 100%. Standing on a point your team already owns does nothing for the quest.

Multiple teammates inside the zone speed up the capture rate. Enemies inside the zone stall or contest progress, so the bar will pause until the area is cleared. Each successful flip counts as one capture toward the three needed.

How the count works across rounds

You do not need to claim three points in a single round. The counter is cumulative across matches, so one capture per round across three rounds finishes the quest just as well as three captures in one match. Captures earned on either the Empire or Rebel side both count.

Each successful capture also pays 30 in-round Credits, which is the currency used to unlock additional classes (including the Force User class needed for a separate quest in the same track).

Fastest method to claim three capture points

Step 1: From the cantina, wait for the round countdown to hit zero and load into the active map. Check the top HUD to see which control points your team does not own. Those are the only points that can be claimed.

Step 2: Pick the closest neutral or enemy point and move directly to it. Use the jetpack, speeders, or tauntauns near spawn to cut travel time. Avoid drifting into firefights that pull you away from the objective.

Step 3: Stand inside the highlighted capture ring until the meter fills and the point flips to your team color. Clear any enemies inside the zone first, since their presence freezes the bar. The HUD will display a capture confirmation and your quest counter will tick up by one.

Step 4: Rotate to the next unowned point and repeat. If your team already controls every point, wait for the enemy team to retake one or stay alive into the next round and capture again from the start.

Class choices that speed up captures

Any class can claim a point, but some make the trip and the hold easier. Mobility-focused classes reach unowned points faster, while heavier classes are better for clearing defenders already standing on the objective.

Class typeWhy it helps
PilotFlies an X-wing or TIE Fighter and uses a jetpack on respawn for fast rotations between points.
Force UserForce push and pull move enemies out of the capture ring, unfreezing the bar.
Infantry / ReconReliable weapons for clearing contested points before standing in.
Bomber Run / AT-ATHeavy firepower to break entrenched defenders on key points.

Classes unlock as you earn Credits during the round, so the first capture or two will usually be done with the default loadout.

How to confirm the quest completed

Progress updates in real time. After each capture, a quest toast appears on screen showing 1/3, 2/3, and finally 3/3. Once the third capture lands, the quest is marked complete in the Unleash the Force quest menu and the 10,000 XP is awarded immediately.

If the toast does not appear, check that you are in Star Wars Galactic Siege and not a Creative remix, and that the point actually flipped to your team color rather than being contested or already owned.

Common reasons the capture does not count

  • The point was already owned by your team, so standing on it did not flip ownership.
  • You left the ring before the meter reached 100%, or were eliminated mid-capture.
  • Enemies inside the zone kept the bar contested, so no flip occurred.
  • You are playing a different Star Wars mode (Escape Vader or Droid Tycoon), which has its own separate quests.

Where this quest sits in the wider track

Claim 3 Capture Points is the entry quest in the Galactic Siege column. The other Galactic Siege quests roll out weekly through May 2026 and ask for spending 500 Credits, completing 3 Bounties, and becoming the Force User Class. Each clears for 10,000 XP, and finishing quests across all three Star Wars modes (Galactic Siege, Escape Vader, Droid Tycoon) feeds the bonus goal milestones up to 15 quests for the Shock Trooper Electrostaff Pickaxe.

The Star Wars event is scheduled to run through the end of May 2026, so the capture points quest should be cleared before the mode rotates out of the active playlist.
