The Digger movie has landed in Fortnite, but not in the way most players expected. Instead of a cosmetic drop, the tie-in shows up inside two UEFN creator maps as in-game props that reference the film. The integration went live alongside the official Digger movie announcement on September 23, 2026.

Where the Digger collab appears in Fortnite
The collab is limited to two existing UEFN maps. Load either one using its island code from the Fortnite Discover menu or the map’s official page.

How the shovels work in The Pit
The Pit is a well-known free-for-all map, and the Digger tie-in sits right on the arena floor. Two shovels carrying the Digger logo are planted in a mound of dirt at the bottom of the pit.
Shooting either shovel or the dirt beneath it makes the mound spit out coins. You then spend those coins on weapons and items at the shop above the pit near spawn, so the props feed directly into the map’s buy loop.
The Digger additions in Winter Rockets vs Cars
Winter Rockets vs Cars features the collab in two spots. At the player base, a large screen in the middle reads “In Digger We Trust” and plays short animated clips from the Digger trailer, paired with a Rockwell desk.
Out in the play area, you will find the same coin-dropping shovels seen in The Pit. Shooting them here works the same way, letting you dig out coins during a match.
No Tom Cruise skin is part of this collab
Despite requests in the comments for a Tom Cruise outfit, the actor’s Digger character has not received a Fortnite skin, and the maps are not built as movie promotions beyond these props. A cosmetic would be a harder sell here, since Digger is not the role Cruise is best known for.
Directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu, Digger opens in theaters on October 2. Its Fortnite debut comes after Chapter 7 Season 4 reaches its midpoint, amid an ongoing series of Gaming Legends crossovers.
