Loot Hacker Sprites are the third special variant in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Override, and 14 of the 15 forms entered the Battle Royale loot pool with the New Sprites Day reset at 6AM PT / 9AM ET. Finding them is mostly a numbers game, but the numbers are adjustable. A Loot Hack in the lobby adds Loot Hacker variants to the Chest loot pool and then raises that chance in fixed steps, up to a hard cap.
Quick answer: Open the Loot Hack menu in the lobby, unlock the Loot Hacker Sprite Variant hack for 500 Sprite Dust, then buy all four upgrades (500, 3,000, 3,000, and 5,000 Dust) to reach a 15% drop rate from Chests. The tile reads “Capped” once you are done.
Loot Hacker Sprite Variant Loot Hack: Sprite Dust cost and drop rate tiers
The upgrade is a straight ladder. The unlock puts Loot Hacker Sprites into the Chest pool, and each purchase after that pushes the chance up by two percentage points until it stops at 15%. Maxing it costs 12,000 Sprite Dust in total.
| Purchase | Sprite Dust | Chest drop rate |
|---|---|---|
| Unlock | 500 | 7% |
| Upgrade 1 | 500 | 9% |
| Upgrade 2 | 3,000 | 11% |
| Upgrade 3 | 3,000 | 13% |
| Upgrade 4 | 5,000 | 15% (Capped) |
| Total | 12,000 | — |
Note: Loot Hacks rotate every two weeks at 9AM ET / 1PM UTC, so check the menu after a rotation to confirm the Loot Hacker Sprite Variant hack is still the one you have slotted.

Where to get Sprite Dust for the upgrade
Sprite Dust funds everything in the Loot Hack menu, and the quickest injection comes from lobby hack codes entered in the Admin Panel in the Battle Royale lobby. The code dustinthewind pays out 5,000 Sprite Dust, which covers the unlock plus the first upgrade with plenty left over.
Codes are one-time redemptions per account. If you type one that has already been claimed, the panel returns “Lobby Hack already used.” and no Dust is added. There are 28 lobby hack codes in Season 4 in total, and they hand out a mix of Sprite Dust, XP, effects, and rare Sprite variants.
Cheat Codes: Target Loot Hacker variants by rarity
Chests are not the only source. Cheat Codes found in matches remain the strongest route for Loot Hacker variants, and the colour of the code shapes which ones you are likely to pull. Any Cheat Code can roll any rarity, but the odds lean toward the code’s own tier.
| Cheat Code | Best odds for |
|---|---|
| Rare (blue) | Loot Hacker Jonesy, Bush, Overshield and other Rare variants |
| Epic (purple) | Loot Hacker Sonic, Shadow, Tails |
| Legendary (gold) | The remaining, higher-rarity variants |
Legendary Cheat Codes spawn naturally around the map and also have a small chance of appearing after you use the Cheat Code Locator. Because they cover the top of the pool, they are the ones worth going out of your way for.

Loot Hacker Crown: The one variant no drop rate affects
Loot Hacker Crown ignores Chests and Cheat Codes entirely. It is awarded by mastering the Gold Crown Sprite, and Crown Sprites only level up through wins. The chain runs in a fixed order, and each link needs a Victory Royale with the correct form equipped.
| Win with this equipped | You unlock |
|---|---|
| Any Battle Royale win | Crown Sprite (base) |
| Crown Sprite | Cheat Master Crown |
| Cheat Master Crown | Gold Crown |
| Gold Crown | Loot Hacker Crown |
A single win takes the equipped Crown Sprite from Level 1 to Level 5 (Mastered), so each stage is one Victory Royale rather than a grind. Trading for a later Crown form does not skip the sequence.
All 15 Loot Hacker Sprites, rarity, and source
Every Season 4 Sprite has a Loot Hacker form except Mega Man, which is a single-form crossover Sprite. Rarity matters because it decides which Cheat Code colour gives you the best shot.
| Loot Hacker Sprite | Rarity | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Jonesy | Rare | Chests, Cheat Codes |
| Bush | Rare | Chests, Cheat Codes |
| Adventure | Rare | Chests, Cheat Codes |
| 8-Bit | Rare | Chests, Cheat Codes |
| Storm Scout | Rare | Chests, Cheat Codes |
| Overshield | Rare | Chests, Cheat Codes |
| Onigiri | Rare | Chests, Cheat Codes |
| Sonic | Epic | Chests, Cheat Codes |
| Tails | Epic | Chests, Cheat Codes |
| Shadow | Epic | Chests, Cheat Codes |
| Killswitch | Epic | Chests, Cheat Codes |
| Jackrabbit | Legendary | Chests, Cheat Codes |
| X-Ray | Legendary | Chests, Cheat Codes |
| Klombo | Mythic | Chests, Cheat Codes |
| Crown | Mythic | Win with Gold Crown equipped |
What equipping a Loot Hacker Sprite does in a match
A Loot Hacker Sprite keeps its base ability and layers on one extra perk: it increases the chance of items spawning from your active Loot Hacks. The bonus works as a 1.2x multiplier on the Loot Hack drop rate you have already paid for with Sprite Dust, so the two stack rather than replace each other.
That makes the variants self-reinforcing. The upgraded hack raises how often Loot Hacker Sprites appear in Chests, and once you have one equipped, everything else you have hacked into the loot pool shows up more often too.
Common reasons the drop rate does not increase
- The 500 Dust unlock was never bought, so Loot Hacker Sprites are not in the Chest pool at all and upgrades have nothing to raise.
- Only some upgrade steps were purchased. Anything short of the full 12,000 Dust leaves you below 15%.
- The tile already shows “Capped”, which means no further purchase is possible and extra Dust will not push it higher.
- A lobby hack code returned “Lobby Hack already used.” so no Sprite Dust was added to your balance.
- Loot Hacks rotated, changing which hack is active in your slot.
The realistic plan is to bank enough Sprite Dust for the full 12,000, cap the hack before your session rather than mid-match, and then split your time between Chest-heavy landings and Legendary Cheat Codes. Crown is the one entry you can plan around with certainty, since four wins in the right order guarantee it.
