Loot Hacker Sprites went live in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override on September 10th, switching on at 9AM EDT as part of New Sprite Day. They are a finish rather than a new roster of companions — a blue holographic coat with scan lines running over an existing Sprite — and they keep whatever ability the base Sprite already had. Fifteen of them exist, and all but one are found the same way you find everything else this season.
Quick answer: Open Cheat Code Chests to pull Loot Hacker variants — blue codes for Rare Sprites, purple for Epic, gold for Legendary — then extract the Sprite before you die or the match ends. The Loot Hacker Crown is the only one that can’t be found; it’s awarded for mastering the Gold Crown Sprite.
What Loot Hacker Sprites do in Fortnite
A Loot Hacker Sprite multiplies the spawn chance of your active Loot Hacks by 1.2, a flat 20 percent bump applied on top of the base rate whenever you search a chest. Loot Hacks are the lobby purchases that force a specific weapon into the chest pool — the Scorpion’s Kombat Kit and Caduceus Staff are the kind of thing you’re buying with Sprite Dust — so the finish is only worth anything if you actually have hacks running.
That multiplier stacks with the drop rate upgrades you can already buy. Spending extra Sprite Dust on a hack raises its base rate by up to 15 percent, and the Loot Hacker bonus is applied to that improved number. Loot Hacks rotate every two weeks at 9AM ET / 1PM UTC, so the weapon you’re fishing for won’t stay in the pool forever.
Every Loot Hacker Sprite and where to find it
A Loot Hacker version exists for every Season 4 Sprite except Mega Man. Each one inherits the base Sprite’s rarity, which decides how hard it is to pull, and certain POIs are far more likely to hand you a particular variant.

None of these are locked to those POIs. Cheat codes spawn all over the island and any of them can roll a Loot Hacker, so the table is about odds rather than guarantees.
Cheat code colors decide which variants you can pull
Sprite Chests don’t exist this season. You find a Cheat Code Injector on a wall or floor, input the arrow sequence it displays using directional movement, and the chest hands you a guaranteed Sprite from its tier. The color of the code is the tier.
- Blue codes give a Rare Sprite, which covers Jonesy, Bush, Adventure, 8-Bit, Onigiri, Overshield, and Storm Scout.
- Purple codes give an Epic Sprite, so this is where Sonic, Tails, Shadow, and Killswitch come from.
- Gold codes give a Legendary Sprite and are your route to Jackrabbit and X-Ray.
Loot Hacker variants also drop from ordinary chests at a low rate, from players you eliminate who are carrying one, and through trading with friends. If you’d rather not gamble on random chests, you can also spend 500 Sprite Dust in the lobby to add the Loot Hacker variant to the chest loot pool directly.
Equip any Cheat Master Sprite and you can skip the arrow minigame entirely — mash any button and the Cheat Code Chest opens.
How to get the Loot Hacker Crown Sprite
The Crown is the exception, and it’s the one variant you can earn on demand. It doesn’t appear in any chest or cheat code. Instead, it’s awarded for mastering the Gold Crown Sprite, and the Crown Sprite only levels up through Victory Royales — so you need to win with it equipped.
Best farming route for cheat codes
The northwest corner of the island is the densest stretch for cheat codes, with Chop Chop and Lifty Lodge close enough together to clear both early and still rotate. Green Hill Zone, Stone Sanctum, Shaken Sanctuary, and The Battlewoods are the other reliable clusters. Rarity is rolled per location, so no single POI reliably produces gold codes — volume is what gets you Legendary pulls.
Use the Cheat Code Locator to upgrade a code
The Cheat Code Locator is a Gizmo you slot before a match, and it does two jobs: it points you at nearby codes, and it can raise the rarity of one you’re already standing at. Stand in front of a cheat code and use the locator, and it can instantly bump that code up to Epic or Legendary — which is the fastest way to turn a throwaway blue code into a shot at Jackrabbit or X-Ray.

Extract the Sprite or you lose it
Finding a Loot Hacker Sprite doesn’t unlock it. It only becomes yours permanently once it’s extracted, and there are three ways to do that: load it into an Extraction Crate called in at an Extraction Site, burn a Portable Extractor anywhere on the map, or win the match. Once it lands in your Sprite Garden, you can take it into Battle Royale or Zero Build without risking it again.
You’ll know it worked when the extraction completes and the Sprite appears in your collection in the lobby, along with the Sprite Dust payout. Get eliminated before that happens and the Sprite is gone — along with any others you were carrying in inventory slots — and any levels you put into your equipped Sprite reset to Level 1.
Why you’re not finding Loot Hacker Sprites
A few things reliably trip people up. Lobby Hack codes redeemed from the Admin Panel do not grant Loot Hacker variants at all, so there’s no shortcut there. Mega Man has no Loot Hacker version, so don’t waste time hunting one. And the blue tint with scan lines is genuinely hard to pick out at distance against the island’s terrain — if you’re running past cheat codes without checking what they dropped, you’re probably leaving variants on the ground.
The last one is worth repeating because it costs the most: a Loot Hacker Sprite sitting in an inventory slot gives you no bonus. Only the Sprite in the dedicated slot applies its ability, so swap it in if you want that 1.2x multiplier working while you open chests.
