Tentacles of the Slender Man Back Bling

For Fortnitemares 2026 in Chapter 7, Season 4, Fortnite introduced four Slender Man cosmetics: the Slender Man outfit, Tentacles of the Slender Man back bling, Slender Tendrils pickaxe, and The Slender Man Was Here spray. Early footage shows the items, and a competitive cup gives some players a chance to claim most of the set ahead of its Item Shop debut.

Quick answer: A high enough placement in your region’s Slender Man Cup gets you the outfit and back bling for free. Points earn the spray. The pickaxe is sold only in the Item Shop, which is expected to stock the set around October 22nd.

Every item in The Slender Man set

The set is small. Each piece builds on the character’s best-known features: the blank face, the black suit, and the tendrils.

The Slender Man outfit and its face styles

The outfit is the version of Slender Man most people know: a black suit, white shirt, black tie, and a smooth white head with no features. The locker tags it as introduced in Chapter 7, Season 4. It works in Battle Royale, Fortnite Festival, and Reload. Next to Vagatha from the Hazbin Hotel set, the model is clearly taller and thinner than a standard Fortnite outfit. That fits the character, even though Fortnite outfits share the same hitbox.

The outfit has two Edit Styles, “DEFINED FACE ( OFF )” and “DEFINED FACE ( ON )”. With the setting off, the head stays completely blank, which matches the original creepypasta figure. With it on, faint facial features show on the white surface. This is the only style choice on the outfit.

Tentacles of the Slender Man back bling: how the reactive growth works

Tentacles of the Slender Man is marked [Elim Reactive]. It begins small, and black tendrils sprout from the wearer’s back and spread further with each elimination. By the last stage, the tendrils fan out well past the shoulders and give the outfit its familiar shape.

You can’t lock the back bling at any one growth stage. There’s no toggle to keep the full tendrils on from the start of a match, so every game begins at the smallest version.

The back bling works on other outfits too, and the growth looks the same. On Vagatha, the full tendrils turn a hotel manager into something much stranger.

Slender Tendrils pickaxe animations and styles

Slender Tendrils doesn’t look like a tool you hold. It changes the hands into long, dark, claw-like tendrils that work like a glove. Each swing is a slash, with black swipe trails and a black mist following the motion. It has Built-In and Universal equip styles, like other hand-based pickaxes.

Because the pickaxe is attached to the hands and wrists, it changes shape with each outfit’s arms. On Vagatha, it fits her shorter build and the slash effects still play.

Slender Tendrils isn’t one of the cup rewards. It’s available only by buying it in the Item Shop.

The Slender Man Was Here spray

The spray is the easiest item in the set to get early. Using it puts an image of Slender Man on a brick wall, with tendrils spreading out from him as if he’s coming through it. The item description, “Leave your mark.,” fits a figure known for showing up where he shouldn’t be.

Slender Man Cup rewards and regional thresholds

The Slender Man Cup is the only way to get part of the set before its Item Shop release. The cup has two reward levels. Points earn the spray. A high enough placement on your region’s leaderboard earns the outfit and back bling for free.

  • Mobile-only Cup: 5 points earns The Slender Man Was Here spray.
  • Standard console and PC Cup: 8 points earns the spray.
  • Placing within your region’s threshold earns The Slender Man outfit and Tentacles of the Slender Man back bling.
  • The Slender Tendrils pickaxe isn’t in the reward bundle at any level.
RegionPlacement needed for outfit and back bling
Middle EastTop 50
BrazilTop 100
NA-WestTop 100
EuropeTop 500

Some regions are much harder than others. Europe’s Top 500 cutoff is the most generous, but Europe is also a very large region with a lot of competition. In the Middle East, the outfit goes only to the Top 50. Start times also differ by region, so players in different regions don’t compete at the same hour. If you qualify, the rewards show up in your locker with the rest of your cosmetics.

Slender Man Item Shop release date

Slender Man features in the official Fortnitemares 2026 key art and cinematic trailer. The trailer’s credits identify the character as the original, rather than a lookalike. The set is expected to arrive in the Item Shop around October 22nd, though Epic has confirmed neither the date nor any prices. Fortnitemares continues through November 1, 2026. If you miss the cup, plan to spend V-Bucks on all four items. The tournament is the only way to unlock the outfit without a purchase; there is no code or other free method.

Slender Man back bling and pickaxe on other Fortnite skins

The tentacles and claws suit any outfit with a dark or monstrous theme. These five outfits show how well the pieces carry over.

Chaos DirectorBleakest BedlamBack bling and pickaxe
Miasma—Back bling and pickaxe
Venom (comic)VenomBack bling and pickaxe
Eddie Brock (movie)SymbiotesBack bling
Chaos AgentFinal ReckoningBack bling

The two Marvel outfits are the clearest matches. Black tendrils coming out of comic Venom’s back look like symbiote tendrils, and the Slender Tendrils claws on Venom’s hands look like his own. Eddie Brock gets a similar effect, as if the symbiote is starting to take over. Chaos Director and Miasma look good with both items across their style variants. Chaos Agent, a Chapter 2, Season 1 outfit, works with the back bling in both its Default and Goopy edit styles. The Goopy style suits the tendrils especially well.

All five outfits show the same thing. The two most noticeable Slender Man items aren’t tied to the Slender Man outfit, so the back bling and pickaxe are worth considering even for players who skip the outfit.
