Forza Horizon 6 Extreme Rover Weekly Challenge (Summer Season)

Extreme Rover is the opening Weekly Challenge of the British Automotive series in Forza Horizon 6, and it went live with the Summer season on September 10, 2026. Every objective is locked to one vehicle, the 2020 Land Rover Defender 110 X, so nothing progresses until that SUV is in your garage and under you.

Extreme Rover objectives and rewards

The four steps do not have to be done in order, and none of them are timed. They only count while you are driving the Defender 110 X, which is the single most common reason progress appears to stall.

How to get the 2020 Land Rover Defender 110 X

The Defender 110 X is a Common, C 427 class Sports Utility Hero with all-wheel drive, 395 hp and an offroad rating of 7.7. That last number matters, because two of the four objectives involve launching a two-and-a-half tonne SUV off ramps and into scenery.

Open your car collection and search for the Defender 110 X before spending anything. It has been handed out as a Forza Horizon 5 season reward in the past, so plenty of returning players already own it in Horizon 6 through their collection.

If you do not have it, buy it from the Autoshow. Its listed value is 250,000 CR, and discounted prices as low as 237,500 CR have shown up during this rotation. Aftermarket stores and the Auction House are usually cheaper if you have the patience to hunt.

There is a free route as well. The Cross Country Heroes Seasonal Championship hands over the Defender 110 X, so running that first saves you the credits entirely.

Get into the car and drive it out of the garage or the Horizon Festival site. The first objective ticks over as soon as you are moving in it.

Earn 4 Danger Sign stars and 3 Great Wreckage skills

These two objectives sit next to each other on the map, so treat them as one trip. Pick a Danger Sign with a long, straight approach and destructible scenery around the landing zone, and you can clear both without ever fast travelling in between.

Fast travel to a Danger Sign that suits a heavy SUV. Festival Leap near the festival site and the Mt. Fuji View sign both work, since each gives you enough road to build speed before the ramp.

Accelerate down the straight, hit the ramp flat out, and check your star total after the jump. The stars stack across attempts, so a two-star landing twice is just as good as one big jump. Rewind or fast travel back and repeat until you reach 4.

With the jumps done, go hunting for destructible objects. Fences and barriers around the festival drag strip do the job, as do the trees lining the approach road to the ramp you just used.

Plough through them one after another and watch the skill readout on the HUD. You need Great Wreckage specifically, not the smaller Wreckage tier, so keep your speed up rather than nudging objects at walking pace. Three of them closes out this objective.

Note: skill scores are unaffected by tuning here, so there is no reason to spend credits on upgrades. The stock Defender clears all of it.

Take the photo at Shimanoyama Drift Circuit

The final objective sends you to Shimanoyama Drift Circuit, in the northeastern part of the map. Fast travel straight there rather than driving, since the Defender is not quick and the circuit is a long way from the festival.

Open the map, find Shimanoyama Drift Circuit in the northeast, and fast travel to it. You need to be on or immediately beside the track for the photo to register.

Park the Defender somewhere with the circuit clearly behind or around it and open Photo Mode. Frame the shot so both the car and the track are visible in the viewfinder.

Take the photo. The objective ticks off the moment the shot is captured, and no filters, edits or sharing are required.

Confirming the challenge completed

Open the Festival Playlist and check the Summer season tab. All four Extreme Rover lines should show as complete, with the 25,000 CR credited and 5 points added to your seasonal total.

If a step refuses to register, the cause is almost always the same one. Objectives only count while you are actually driving the 2020 Land Rover Defender 110 X, so any stars or skills earned in another car are discarded. The other repeat offender is the Wreckage tier, since ordinary Wreckage skills do not count toward the three Great Wreckage requirement.

Those 5 points feed straight into the British Automotive season rewards, which put the 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior at 20 points and the 2021 McLaren 620R at 40. The Summer rotation runs until September 17, so there is no rush to finish it in one sitting, but the Defender purchase is the only part that costs you anything.
