Shimanoyama Drift Circuit Location in Forza Horizon 6 (#JaguarSnap)

Where the drift circuit sits, how to reach the track itself, and what the Jaguar photo challenge pays out.

Where the drift circuit sits, how to reach the track itself, and what the Jaguar photo challenge pays out.

The Summer Season of Forza Horizon 6’s British Automotive playlist asks for something that sounds simple and trips people up anyway. Bring a Jaguar to the Shimanoyama Circuit, take a picture, collect the reward. The catch is that the fast travel marker does not drop you on the circuit, so a photo snapped the second you arrive can leave the challenge sitting there unticked.

Quick answer: Drive any Jaguar to the Shimanoyama Drift Circuit in the top-right corner of the Shimanoyama region, get onto the dirt track itself, then hold Up on the D-pad and press RB to take a photo with the car in frame.

#JaguarSnap photo challenge requirements and rewards

The challenge text reads “Take a photo of any Jaguar at the Shimanoyama Circuit.” Brand is the only vehicle restriction, so anything wearing a Jaguar badge counts, from a road car to something like the 1991 Jaguar Sport XJR-15. You can find the entry under Photo Challenge in the Summer Season tab of the Festival Playlist.

Where the Shimanoyama Drift Circuit is on the map

The circuit is a dirt road racing track inside the Shimanoyama region, tucked into the top-right corner of that region. Open the world map, find the Shimanoyama area, and look for the circuit icon toward its upper right edge rather than near the towns at the bottom.

There is a shortcut for finding it right now. A Shimanoyama Drift Attack event is running at the circuit for the length of the British Automotive update, and the game drops a fresh marker on the map for it. Booting the game up during this playlist can even take you straight there.

Getting from the fast travel point onto the circuit

Swap into a Jaguar before you travel. Open the garage, pick any Jaguar you own, and make sure it is the active car. Doing this first saves a second trip.
Fast travel to the Shimanoyama Circuit landmark from the map. You will spawn on the road just outside the track, not on it.
Turn the car around. The game points you the wrong way on arrival, so spin it 180 degrees before you set off.
Steer left and pass under the red sign reading “Shimanoyama Drift Circuit.” That archway is the entrance to the access road.
Follow the dirt road for a few seconds. The real circuit entrance appears on your left, lined with cones that funnel you in.

Drive onto the dirt surface of the circuit and stop somewhere with clear space around the car. You are now standing where the challenge wants you.

Taking the photo in Photo Mode

Press and hold Up on the D-pad to open Photo Mode. There is no need to start the drift event or any other race first.
Frame the shot so the whole Jaguar sits inside the picture and the car is clearly on the circuit. Move the camera around if the bodywork is cut off at the edges.

Press RB to take a quick picture. One shot is enough, and you do not have to tinker with filters or effects.

How to confirm the challenge completed

A Festival Playlist notification pops up reading “#JaguarSnap Complete,” with a prompt to view it. Open the pause menu if you missed the banner, or head back to the Summer Season tab, where the photo challenge will show as finished with its 2 Season Points banked.

The Retro Racesuit lands in your clothing collection as a Legendary item once the challenge registers.

Why #JaguarSnap does not trigger

  • The photo was taken at the fast travel landmark instead of on the circuit itself.
  • The active car is not a Jaguar. Brand is checked, not model or class.
  • The car is not fully inside the frame when the shot is captured.

Note: skipping the drift event does not cost you anything here. The challenge only checks the car, the location, and the picture.

Once the notification clears, you are free to drive straight back out and spend those Season Points wherever you like. The circuit stays on the map for the rest of the British Automotive playlist, so the Drift Attack event is right there if you feel like sliding a few laps before you go.
