The Mechanics of Emotion challenge is the second weekly task in the Italian Exotics festival playlist for Forza Horizon 6, and it puts the Alfa Romeo 4C front and center. This mid-engine coupe pairs carbon-fiber composite bodywork with a stripped-back cabin and a 1.75-liter turbocharged inline-four, and you need it for all four objectives. Clear the set and you bank 25,000 Credits plus 5 Forzathon points toward the weekly and seasonal totals.

Quick answer: Buy the Alfa Romeo 4C, apply the A700 tune with share code 166 551 434, then complete one Drag Meet run, earn 4 Speed Skills in a Road Circuit race, and score 5 stars across Speed Zones — all in the 4C.

What you need before starting

Every objective requires the Alfa Romeo 4C, so pick it up first. If it isn’t already in your garage, open the escape menu and head to the AutoShow, where it costs 73,000 Credits. The Auction House often lists it cheaper, so check there if you want to save some money.

Before running any events, apply a tune so the car handles the drag, circuit, and speed tasks without fuss. Load the following share code in the Tunes menu.

Objective 1: Own and drive the Alfa Romeo 4C

Once the 4C is yours, simply drive it out of your garage or off the Horizon festival site onto any road. That single action registers ownership and clears the opening objective. No event or target is involved here.

Objective 2: Complete any Drag Meet run

Head to any Drag Meet. The Festival Kilometer Drag Meet sits closest to the Horizon festival site, making it the quickest option. Enter any open grid slot with the 4C and start the event when prompted.

Wait for the lights on the grid slot barriers to turn green, which signals the launch. Drive to the end of the strip and the run counts as complete. You only need one full pass.

Objective 3: Earn 4 Speed Skills in Road Circuit races

Go to the Electric Town Circuit for this one. Winning the race is not required; the goal is to bank four Speed Skills during the event. The long straights in the first and third sectors of the track are where those skills add up quickly, so hold your speed through them with the recommended tune applied.

Objective 4: Earn 5 stars at Speed Zones

The final objective asks for 5 stars from Speed Zone open-world activities. The Mountain Pass Speed Zone works well. Start your run from the eastern edge of the highway so you carry high entry speed into the zone, which typically nets 2 or 3 stars per attempt.

Since one clean run rarely hits five on its own, repeat the approach a couple of times until your combined stars reach the target. The same tune keeps the car stable through the fast sections.

Confirming the challenge is complete

Each objective ticks off in the Festival Playlist menu as you finish it. Once all four show as done, the 25,000 Credits and 5 Forzathon points are added to your account, and those points count toward the Italian Exotics rewards, including the 2017 Abarth 124 Spider and the 2020 Lamborghini Huracan EVO. If a step refuses to register, make sure you are driving the Alfa Romeo 4C and not another car, since every objective is tied specifically to it.
