Forza Horizon 6: Minamino Edamame Location for the #PeasInAPod Photo Challenge

The Spring season of the Horizon Mascot Party wraps up the series in Forza Horizon 6, and its Photo Challenge, #PeasInAPod, is one of the fastest two points on the whole Festival Playlist. The catch is the wording. It asks for a photo at the Mascot Party’s Edamame Section, which sounds like it lives in the Minamino region — it doesn’t.

Quick answer: Fast travel to Horizon Stadium in the Shimanoyama region, turn right from the drop-in point and follow the main track past the Time Attack start until you reach the green area with ‘Minamino’ signs and Edamame cardboard cutouts, then take a photo mode shot with your car and a cutout both in frame.

#PeasInAPod challenge requirements and rewards

The challenge text reads “Take a photograph at the Horizon Mascot Party’s Edamame Section.” There is no car restriction, no PI class, and no requirement to be online in a convoy. Everything you need is in one spot.

Those two points feed the same Spring total that unlocks the season’s reward cars, including the 1988 Mitsubishi Starion ESI-R at 20 points and the 1968 Dodge Dart HEMI Super Stock at 40, both available through September 10.

Why the Edamame section is not in the Minamino region

Edamame is the mascot of the Minamino region, and 20 Edamame mascot collectibles really are scattered across Minamino’s country roads. The Mascot Party is a different thing entirely. It’s temporary evolving world content built inside Horizon Stadium, where every Japanese region gets its own colour-coded stretch of track and its own mascot display. The Minamino stretch is the green one, and that is the only place this challenge registers.

How to reach the Minamino Edamame area

Open the world map and look at the western side of Japan, in the Shimanoyama region. You’re after a large circular venue right by the water, marked with a purple globe icon. That’s Horizon Stadium, and it’s a fast travel destination.

Fast travel in. You’ll drop in near the north gate, facing the ring of themed sections that make up the party.

Turn right and stay on the main track. The route runs straight into the start of the Edamame Time Attack Circuit, the temporary lap-time event added for this series. You can ignore the countdown and keep driving — you don’t need to run the lap.

Carry on along the track until the scenery turns green and you see the flat cardboard cutouts of the three-pod Edamame character standing beside signs reading ‘Minamino’. Push a little further in rather than stopping at the entrance — the game is stricter about the boundary than it looks.

Framing the photo so it counts

Stop the car alongside the Edamame cutouts and open photo mode.

Angle the camera so your car and at least one Edamame mascot are inside the viewfinder together. Unlike the Tokyo City Dango challenge from the Autumn season, your driver avatar does not need to be standing outside the vehicle.

Press RB to capture the shot. The challenge resolves the moment the photo is taken.

Confirmation is immediate and hard to miss. The results screen appears while the image processes, showing Discover Japan, Horizon Festival and Festival Playlist progress ticking up, and the ‘So Cute’ emote drops as an unlock notification. Reopening the Festival Playlist should now show the Photo Challenge tile marked complete with its two points banked.

If the challenge doesn’t complete

You stopped at the entrance to the green area. Drive deeper into the Minamino stretch before opening photo mode.
The mascot isn’t actually in shot. Both your car and a cutout have to sit inside the frame, not just nearby.
You’re in the Minamino region out in the countryside rather than at Horizon Stadium. Edamame collectibles out there don’t count for this.

The whole run takes a couple of minutes once you know the stadium is the destination, which makes it a sensible first stop before you start grinding the rest of the Spring points.
