Furiosa Local Legend in Genshin Impact: How to Beat Her and Clear All Objectives

Where to find Furiosa in Snezhnaya, how the Hindering Roots work, and the fastest way to grab all 60 Primogems.

Furiosa is a Volkodlak archer who fights as one of the three Local Legends introduced with Genshin Impact 7.0, and she is the most forgiving of the trio. She camps in Snezhnaya, hits hard from range, and defends herself by sprouting Hindering Roots from the ground. Beating her and clearing her three Valiant Chronicles objectives is less about your team’s element and more about reacting to those roots the moment they appear.

Quick answer: Destroy the two Hindering Roots she spawns before her Arrow Shower (you get about 10 seconds) and the single root she spawns when she burrows underground (about 2 seconds). Any attack works, no elemental reaction needed. Breaking a root stuns her, which is your window to deal damage and where both interrupt objectives register.

Furiosa location in Snezhnaya

Furiosa waits in the Everfrozen Earth area near the city of Snezhnograd. The easiest landmark is the Scars of Cursed Obsession weapon ascension domain, which sits directly south of Snezhnograd’s Central Station Waypoint. Teleport there, head slightly northwest past the train wreck, and you will find her standing in an open, frozen clearing.

There are no puzzles or hidden entrances involved. The arena is out in the open, so you can return and re-farm the fight quickly. Walking up to her triggers the encounter.

How to unlock the fight

Furiosa becomes available as both a Local Legend and a Valiant Chronicle once you can freely explore Snezhnaya. That means finishing the Gunfire in the Silent Lands subquest of the Snezhnaya Archon Quest, Everwinter Without Mercy. After you speak with Katheryne at Snezhnograd, she appears in the Valiant Chronicles tracker, which pins her location and objectives on your map.

How the Hindering Roots work

The whole fight revolves around one system. Furiosa periodically enters a special state and calls roots up from the ground. While those roots are alive she keeps attacking and stays protected. Break them and she is briefly stunned, dropping her guard so you can punish her. You will know it worked because she clutches her stomach and stops moving.

She has exactly two root moves, and the number of roots tells you which one she is doing.

MoveRoots spawnedTime to react
Arrow Shower (charges a rain of arrows)Two roots, one on each side of herAbout 10 seconds
Burrow (dives and resurfaces elsewhere)One root at her destination spotAbout 2 seconds

Any element and any hit type destroys a root, so no specific reaction is required. What matters is speed and accuracy. During the burrow move she resurfaces almost instantly, so you have to rush the single root. During Arrow Shower you get more time, but auto-aim likes to lock onto Furiosa instead of the roots, so adjust your camera and target the roots directly. Catalyst normal attacks tend to snap to her rather than the plants, so lead with a skill or a melee hit.

Note: Furiosa’s ranged shots hit hard and can drop a character fast. Bring a shielder or healer so you can stay focused on the roots instead of dodging every arrow. Keep a medium distance, move in a circle, and sprint just before her arrows land.

All three objectives and rewards

Each of the three objectives is worth 20 Primogems, for 60 total. Both interrupt objectives use the same root-breaking mechanic, and Furiosa cycles through both moves several times per fight, so you can clear all three in a single run if you do not rush her death.

ObjectiveHow to completeReward
Defeat Local Legend: FuriosaBring her HP to zeroPrimogem x20, Accreted Growth x3
Interrupt before the Arrow ShowerDestroy both roots while she charges the arrow barragePrimogem x20, Mora x25,000
Interrupt while burrowingDestroy the single root before she resurfacesPrimogem x20, Guide to Glory x3

The interrupt objectives only register if you break the roots inside the reaction window. If a task does not clear, it almost always means the window closed first, either because you were too slow on the burrow or auto-aim wasted time on Furiosa during the Arrow Shower. Let her perform both special moves at least once before you finish her, otherwise you may kill her before an objective triggers. Claim the rewards afterward from the Valiant Chronicle Handbook at any Adventurer’s Guild.

Like every Local Legend, Furiosa respawns on the daily server reset. Any objective you already cleared stays marked, so if you miss one you can return the next day and only chase what is left.

Best teams for Furiosa

Furiosa does not lock you into an element or reaction, unlike some of the other Snezhnaya legends. The priority is a party that survives her hits and can quickly clear roots, so units with fast, on-cast damage or wide area coverage make the interrupts easier. Pair a strong damage dealer with a shielder or healer such as Nicole, Diona, Qiqi, or Kokomi.

Skills that deal damage the instant they come out, like Ineffa’s, or fast repeated hits like Sandrone’s, are ideal for snapping roots during the short burrow window. Area-of-effect damage helps mobile players land lucky hits on the roots too. Charge your Elemental Bursts before you walk into the arena, save your burst rotation for the stun after a root breaks, and treat that stunned pose as your only safe damage window each cycle.
