The Cryo Treasure Compass reveals chests and Cryoculi across Snezhnaya, but you cannot pick it up on its own. It comes from Snezhnaya’s three meeting points, each tied to a character and a region you have to explore. Reach the first exploration milestone, hand over Cryo Sigils, and the compass appears in your tools.
Quick answer: Finish the 7.0 Archon Quests, unlock any of the three meeting points (Huntsman’s Cabin, The Korolevskiy Theatre, or Tidesong Cavern), reach 10% exploration in that region, then submit 30 Cryo Sigils to unlock Cryo Treasure Compass Level 1.
What you need before the meeting points open
Meeting points are Snezhnaya’s version of the sigil offering and reputation systems, merged into one. Each one is gated behind the Archon Quests that introduce the region. Once you complete those quests, all three become available as short character-focused quests, and each one unlocks a local system where you submit Cryo Sigils, raise exploration, and claim rewards.
You reach Snezhnaya by following the 7.0 Archon Quest, or by traveling through an already-unlocked waypoint if you just want to explore. Every meeting point lives in a different sub-region, so raising one to its highest level means clearing the areas tied to it.

Add to Google Preferences →Alyosha’s meeting point: Huntsman’s Cabin
The first meeting point sits west of Sretomorozsk, the first town you reach after entering Snezhnaya. Here you meet Alyosha, a professional hunter who lives with his companion, Tugarin. When you arrive, Alyosha is sneaking up on a Fae gang, and the encounter turns into a fight between two Fae gangs.
Finishing the quest unlocks Meeting Point: Huntsman’s Cabin. To raise its exploration, clear the Volkodlak Tundra and Flamefeather Valley regions.

Odette’s meeting point: The Korolevskiy Theatre
The second meeting point is on the southeastern side of Snezhnograd, where much of Act 2 of the Archon Quest plays out. After you complete the second act, teleport to the waypoint outside The Korolevskiy Theatre and a short quest starts on its own. You hear rumors of a ghost inside the theatre and go in to investigate.
There is no ghost, but you do meet Odette and unlock Meeting Point: The Korolevskiy Theatre. To make progress here, explore the Everfrozen Earth and White Birch Snowgrave regions.

Vodyanitsa’s meeting point: Tidesong Cavern
The third meeting point is deep inside Tidesong Cavern, in Fellfrost Peak. While you roam the cavern, a swarm of wildlife runs toward you, followed by the soothing voice of a Fae. Head deeper and you find Vodyanitsa’s private getaway.
After a short conversation and helping her out, you unlock Meeting Point: Tidesong Cavern. Progress here comes from exploring Fellfrost Peak, which is difficult terrain. Use the Eye of Graeae to build Prime Ice Constructs and move around more easily.
Meeting point regions at a reference
| Meeting point | Character | Regions to explore |
|---|---|---|
| Huntsman’s Cabin | Alyosha | Volkodlak Tundra, Flamefeather Valley |
| The Korolevskiy Theatre | Odette | Everfrozen Earth, White Birch Snowgrave |
| Tidesong Cavern | Vodyanitsa | Fellfrost Peak |
How to unlock the Cryo Treasure Compass
Once any meeting point hits 10% exploration, you can submit 30 Cryo Sigils to unlock Level 1 of the Cryo Treasure Compass. At Level 1, the compass points to the nearest treasure chest.

The compass climbs in step with the meeting point level. Raising a meeting point to Level 3 upgrades the compass to Level 2, which shows several nearby chests and Cryoculi at once. Maxing a meeting point at Level 5 pushes the compass to Level 3, which reveals almost every treasure chest and Cryoculus in the region.
| Meeting point level | Compass level | What it reveals |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 (10% exploration + 30 Cryo Sigils) | Level 1 | Nearest treasure chest |
| Level 3 (50% exploration) | Level 2 | Multiple nearby chests and Cryoculi |
| Level 5 (90% exploration) | Level 3 | Almost all chests and Cryoculi |
How to confirm the compass is active
After you submit the sigils, an “Ability Unlocked” notice confirms Cryo Treasure Compass Exploration Ability Lv. 1. The compass then lives in your inventory under the Tools section, marked with a briefcase icon.

To use it, equip the compass through the Switch button in Tools, or add it to the Quick Change menu. Tick “Quick Replacement” in the settings so it swaps to the regional version automatically. Then click the compass while standing in Snezhnaya’s open world, and nearby chests, time trials, and Cryoculi appear on your map.
If nothing shows up, check three things. The search radius grows with the compass level, so at low ranks you may need to move closer or change meeting points more often. The function is blocked while enemies have spotted you, so leave combat first. And each compass only works in its own region, which is why enabling Quick Replacement helps.

Rewards at every meeting point level
All three meeting points hand out the same Primogems, Mora, and Sanctified Unction at each tier, with 50 Primogems on every level. The differences show up at Level 3 and Level 5, where the Huntsman’s Cabin gives a Crown of Insight while the other two give a Snezhnaya Shrine of Depths Key, and each ends with its own furnishing and Construct Appearance.
| Level (exploration) | Shared rewards | Level-specific reward |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 (10%) | 50 Primogems, 2000 Mora, 5 Sanctified Unction | 1 Fragile Resin |
| Level 2 (30%) | 50 Primogems, 2000 Mora, 5 Sanctified Unction | 1 Acquaint Fate |
| Level 3 (50%) | 50 Primogems, 2000 Mora, 5 Sanctified Unction | Crown of Insight (Huntsman’s Cabin) or Snezhnaya Shrine of Depths Key (Theatre, Tidesong) |
| Level 4 (70%) | 50 Primogems, 2000 Mora, 5 Sanctified Unction | 1 Acquaint Fate |
| Level 5 (90%) | 50 Primogems, 2000 Mora, 5 Sanctified Unction | 1 Sanctifying Elixir, plus a furnishing and Construct Appearance |
The Level 5 cosmetics differ by location. Huntsman’s Cabin gives “The Warming Hearth-Fire” furnishing and the Construct Appearance: The Hound. The Korolevskiy Theatre gives “Snow-Swan’s Back” and The Ballerina. Tidesong Cavern gives “Echoes in the Storm” and The Tides.

Because unlocking the compass only takes one meeting point at 10% exploration, you can start using it early and let its range grow as you clear the rest of Snezhnaya. Push each meeting point toward Level 5 and the compass will do most of the chest hunting for you.
