Stack enough external multipliers on her Elemental Burst, though, and the number climbs into seven figures. The scaling below starts with a C0R1 Vodyanitsa holding Hymn of the Maelstrom, no artifacts, and no team, then adds one buff at a time.

The naked baseline and what artifacts alone do
With every artifact slot empty and no supports on the field, Vodyanitsa’s Burst lands for 24,026 Hydro damage. That is the honest read on her personal output, and it lines up with how she is meant to be played.
Filling the slots with a 2-piece Tenacity of the Millelith and 2-piece Noblesse Oblige split pushes her to 49,010 HP and 206.8% CRIT DMG. The same Burst then hits for 210,287. Nothing else changed, which shows how much of the later scaling is just stats plus crit.
Vaporize is the single biggest multiplier
Amber joins purely to put Pyro on the target. Vodyanitsa’s Hydro Burst then triggers Vaporize and lands for 425,963, roughly double the dry number. Every buff after this point is being multiplied by that reaction, which is why the totals climb so fast later on.
The reaction has to land on the Burst itself. Pyro is applied first, then Vodyanitsa’s Burst goes off into it, not the other way around.
Anemo slot: Kazuha or Hexerei Sucrose
Kaedehara Kazuha runs Freedom-Sworn with 4-piece Viridescent Venerer. Swirling Hydro shreds 40% Hydro RES and his own passive hands over a 40% Hydro DMG Bonus. The Vaporized Burst goes to 631,488.
Adding Mona for Soothing Water resonance raises Vodyanitsa’s max HP by 25% and nudges the hit to 680,799. Since her kit scales on HP, that resonance is doing real work rather than padding a stat sheet.
Swapping Kazuha out for Sucrose is the counterintuitive upgrade. Sucrose runs 936 Elemental Mastery with Viridescent Venerer, which keeps the same 40% Hydro RES shred, passes around 300 EM to the team, and triggers the Hexerei buff alongside Mona. The Burst climbs to 796,646.
Mona, Klee, and The Widsith push past 1.9 million
Once geared, Mona takes an active role instead of merely riding along. Her Favonius Codex and 4-piece Celestial Gift setup supplies 40% DMG through artifacts, while her Ultimate contributes another 60%. The complete sequence—Sucrose swirl, Amber Pyro, and then Mona’s Burst—brings Vodyanitsa to 1,190,037.
Klee then replaces Amber. She still supplies the Pyro for Vaporize, but her C2 skill also strips 28% enemy DEF and RES, lifting the hit to 1,531,862.
The last two steps come from Vodyanitsa’s own weapon. Dropping her signature for The Widsith R5 and taking the field with the Interlude buff active adds 480 Elemental Mastery for 1,725,188. Rolling the Aria buff instead, worth a 96% Elemental DMG Bonus, gives the highest boss number in the run at 1,960,680.
Where the 8,299,953 number comes from
The multi-million figure is not a different build. It is the same team and the same rotation aimed at a different target, the Local Legend Ichcahuipilli’s Aegis, where the full support chain produces a single hit of 8,299,953.
Treat the boss numbers and the Local Legend number as separate scales. If you are reproducing this, the comparable figure against the Overseer Network target is the 1,960,680 hit.

Rotation order matters as much as the gear. Sucrose swirls Hydro to apply the RES shred and EM buff, Klee applies Pyro and her DEF/RES shred, Mona casts her Burst, then Vodyanitsa comes in with her weapon buff live and fires.
Why this isn’t how you build Vodyanitsa
Everything above is a stress test, not a template. Vodyanitsa’s real value sits in her Elemental Skill, Rechitativ: Sonorous Dawn, which handles off-field Hydro application, healing, interruption resistance, and Hydro and Cryo RES shred. Her Burst, Sink With Thee, is optional in most rotations.
A working build stacks HP in all three main stat slots and aims for around 65,000 HP to cap the buffs tied to her passive. Hymn of the Maelstrom is her best weapon, Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers at R5 is the free alternative, and Tenacity of the Millelith is the default artifact set. Energy Recharge is only worth chasing if you actually want her Burst in the loop.
Her strongest homes are Stellar Swirl teams built around Vesna and Freeze teams with Skirk, where her RES shred and the Tenacity ATK buff feed a dedicated damage dealer. That is where the seven-figure hits actually show up on someone else’s screen.
The nuke is worth watching because it maps out exactly how much of a hit comes from reactions, RES shred, and team buffs rather than the character’s own numbers. Strip the four-person buff chain away and Vodyanitsa’s Burst is back at 24,026, which is the clearest argument for building her as the support she is.
