Bandages restore health and can bring downed teammates back into the fight. They’re scarce early on, so planning how you’ll get them makes a big difference to your survival and your team’s uptime.
The methods below cover dependable late‑game crafting, a guaranteed class start, and opportunistic looting so you can build a steady supply.
What bandages do (healing and revives)
Bandages heal your character and can revive teammates. They function similarly to Medkits, which restore more health when you find or earn them later. Bandages are treated as tools, so they sit on your hotbar and don’t take up sack space, letting you use them quickly without inventory shuffling.
Carry a few before tough raids or late‑night objectives where attrition is high and revives keep the run going.
Craft bandages at the Anvil (Workshop)
Once rebuilt, the Anvil gives you repeatable access to bandages using common creature drops. This is the strongest long‑term supply method.
Find the Anvil Base — a tall, late‑game structure in the forest with an overgrown, boarded entrance. Look for vines on the exterior and an anvil symbol on the building.
Locate and place the three anvil parts scattered through the building. Check the ground level and climb vines to reach upper sections, then slot each piece into the silhouette at the center to rebuild the Anvil.
Plan for rising costs. The number of pelts required increases by one with each successive bandage craft, so stockpile accordingly before long expeditions.
Approach with caution. These buildings can be guarded by wolf packs, including alphas. Bring teammates, or dash inside and close doors to create breathing room while you loot.
Open chests across the forest
Chests are the most unpredictable method, but they’re worth checking whenever you pass one.
Check snowy areas when present. After the Snow Biome update, bandages tend to appear from chests more often in snowy parts of the forest.
With crafting unlocked, bandages become a renewable resource; until then, front‑load your safety by starting as Medic and detouring into clinics when you spot them. Keep a small reserve before high‑risk nights so revives don’t stall your run.
