The Muggy Ball is one of the few sidearms in Grand Blue that you cannot buy or pick up off a boss. It only exists if you build it, and both ingredients come from the same island, so the whole job is really one farming trip plus one visit to a crafting table.
Quick answer: Craft the Muggy Ball at the crafting table with 1x Gunpowder (dropped by the Buggy Boss in Clown Town) and 1x Clown Cannon Ball (a 2% drop from Clown Officers in Clown Town).
Muggy Ball crafting recipe and materials
The recipe is short, but the second ingredient is the bottleneck. Gunpowder is a boss drop you can plan around, while the Clown Cannon Ball lands at a 2% rate, so expect a long stretch of Clown Officer kills before it shows up.
| Material | Amount | How you get it |
|---|---|---|
| Gunpowder | 1x | Defeat the Buggy Boss in Clown Town |
| Clown Cannon Ball | 1x | Farm Clown Officers in Clown Town (2% drop chance) |

Both drops sit on the same island, and you need a boat to reach it. The trip costs 50 Gold in total.

Farming Gunpowder and the Clown Cannon Ball
Take the Buggy Boss first. It is a single fight, and clearing it hands over the Gunpowder half of the recipe. With that secured, the rest of the grind is just Clown Officers on repeat.

The Clown Cannon Ball drops at 2%, so plan for roughly fifty kills on average and treat anything faster as luck. Killing them while a quest is active in the same area keeps the trip from feeling wasted.
Note: Clown Officers and the Buggy Boss use the same explosive throw you are farming for. Expect to eat a few detonations and ragdoll knockdowns during the grind, and keep your distance when one of them winds up.
Crafting the Muggy Ball and confirming it worked
You will know it worked when the Muggy Ball appears in your inventory and can be slotted into the secondary weapon slot. Sidearms occupy that slot instead of your primary weapon and carry exactly one skill each, so if the item equips and a single new ability shows up on your bar, the craft went through.
What the Muggy Ball Throw skill does
Muggy Ball Throw is a cannonball lob that tracks your mouse cursor, so you aim it by pointing rather than by facing. On contact it detonates, deals area damage, and ragdolls whatever it hits, which buys you a few seconds of free movement against a group.
Like other weapons and skills in Grand Blue, both the sidearm and its skill gain levels the more you use them in combat, so the throw gets stronger as you keep it equipped rather than sitting on it for emergencies.
The whole build comes down to one boss kill and a patient stretch of Clown Officer farming, and the only real risk is showing up in Clown Town underpowered. Level up first, bank the Gunpowder early, and the 2% drop is the only thing left between you and an explosive secondary.
