Bronze Detail is one of those mid-game parts that quietly gates a chunk of building in Graveyard Keeper 2. The recipe itself is simple — a single Bronze Ingot — but it only appears once you have the right station, the right extension sitting next to it, and the right tech unlocked.
Quick answer: Unlock Bronze Works in the Metallurgy tech tree, build a Wooden Anvil with a Hardening Bucket extension overlapping it, then forge a Bronze Ingot into a Bronze Detail at the anvil.
What you need to craft Bronze Detail
Four things have to line up before the recipe becomes selectable. The tech tree entry for Create: Bronze Detail spells out the hardware half of it — an anvil plus the Hardening Bucket extension.
| Requirement | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| Bronze Works | Metallurgy tab of the Tech Tree, 5 Red Tech Points |
| Wooden Anvil | Blueprint Table in the Yard, 1 Short Log + 1 Stone |
| Hardening Bucket | Yard building menu, Bronze Nails + Wooden Planks |
| Bronze Ingot | Smelted at Furnace I |
An Iron Anvil or Steel Anvil works in place of the Wooden Anvil later on, but the Hardening Bucket is non-negotiable at every tier.

Smashing Broken Barrels with an axe and sorting Trash Piles by hand feeds the Junk Fighter line of Inspirations, which pushes your Metallurgy skill along while you collect Bronze Nails and Bronze Scraps.
Build the Wooden Anvil and place the Hardening Bucket

Some extensions cover more than one station at once — the Carpentry and Stonemason benches can share an add-on — so it is worth planning your Yard layout so radiuses overlap several workbenches.
Smelt Bronze Ingots at Furnace I
Furnace I is also built from the Yard menu, sitting alongside the Hardening Bucket in the same list of unlocks. Once it is down, it offers two separate Bronze Ingot recipes, and both need fuel.

| Recipe | Inputs | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Bronze Ingot (scrap) | Bronze Scrap + Firewood | Early game, no mining |
| Bronze Ingot (ore) | Copper + Tin + Firewood | Sustained production |

The Bronze Scrap route
Bronze Scrap is the fastest way to your first ingot because it needs no mining at all. Chop the Broken Barrels and sort the Trash Piles scattered around your house, the Inquisition Base, the surrounding land, and parts of the village. Load the scrap into Furnace I along with Firewood and let it cook.

The Copper and Tin route
Once salvage runs dry, the ore recipe takes over. Copper comes from a deposit on the cliffside west of the base, near the river in the Garden area — the node blends into the rock face, so look closely at the cliff edges. Tin is not mined directly. Dig Sand from the dirt patch along the riverbank and run it through the Sluice Box, which outputs Tin.
Fuel is the third piece. Firewood pulled from the Firewood Shed keeps Furnace I running, and smelting takes real time, so it is worth queuing a batch and going off to do something else.

Forge the Bronze Detail and confirm it worked
Collect the finished ingots from Furnace I and walk back to the Wooden Anvil. With the Hardening Bucket in range, the Bronze Detail recipe is no longer greyed out and the missing-extension warning above it is gone. Select it and the anvil turns one Bronze Ingot into one Bronze Detail.
If the entry is still dimmed even though you have the mastery, the ingots, the anvil, and a bucket standing beside it, the radius is almost always the culprit. Check that the blue area of effect around the Hardening Bucket physically overlaps the anvil rather than merely sitting close to it, and nudge the bucket until it does.
From there it is a supply problem rather than an unlock problem. Keep a stock of Bronze Scrap for quick ingots, keep the Firewood Shed topped up, and Bronze Details stop being the thing holding up your build queue.
