The Diving Bell Bed is the sleeping option built for life below the water in Grounded 2. It traps oxygen bubbles so you can rest and set a spawn point on the pond floor, which matters once the Into the Abyss update pushes your base into fully submerged territory. Getting it comes down to one creature and one machine.
Quick answer: Kill a Diving Bell Spider in Stunk Pond, pick up the Diving Bell Spider Chunk it drops, then scan that chunk at any Resource Analyzer to unlock the Diving Bell Bed recipe.
Where to find the Diving Bell Spider
Diving Bell Spiders live underwater in Stunk Pond. Open your map and head for the area around -17° N / 28° E. This is the deep-water zone opened up by Into the Abyss, so you will be spending your time beneath the surface rather than along the bank.

Before diving, gear up for underwater travel. A Toe Biter Nymph mount lets you move quickly through the pond and reach the spider without running out of air. Ride it straight down into the underwater vegetation, which is where the spiders tend to swim.

Analyze the chunk to unlock the recipe
The recipe does not appear just from holding the chunk. You have to run it through research first.

Materials to craft the Diving Bell Bed
Once the recipe is unlocked, build the bed from the building menu. It has a Coziness value of 75 and is described as a silky bed that traps oxygen bubbles for underwater sleeping. You will need the following resources on hand.
| Material | Quantity |
|---|---|
| Diving Bell Spider Chunk | 3 |
| Silk Rope | 6 |
| Cattail Fluff | 4 |
| Horsetail Stem | 3 |
Because the bed itself uses Diving Bell Spider Chunks in its recipe, plan on defeating more than one spider. One chunk unlocks the recipe through analysis, and you still need three chunks to build each bed.
Note: The bed alone does not keep you alive underwater. Marine Walls and similar pieces leave gaps, so pair your submerged base with a Bubble Maker or wear a diving suit to keep your oxygen topped up while you sleep and build below the surface.
