Haki is one of the most important power systems in Haze Seas, and mastering it separates strong players from the rest. This guide explains every type of Haki — Armament (Buso), Observation, and Conqueror’s — along with how to unlock each one, how to evolve them to their higher tiers, and the movement skills (Flash Step and Sky Walk) that round out your kit.
Types of Haki in Haze Seas
There are three core Haki types in Haze Seas, each serving a different purpose. Armament Haki lets you damage Logia fruit users and boosts your physical damage, Observation Haki lets you dodge attacks and eventually track players across islands, and Conqueror’s Haki is a rare crowd-control power reserved for specific bloodlines and clans.

Add to Google Preferences →Armament (Buso) Haki

Armament Haki, often called Buso, gives you the ability to damage Logia fruit users — without it, your attacks pass straight through them. Press J to activate it once unlocked. Importantly, the Buso damage buff only applies to fighting style and sword skills; it does not boost Devil Fruit skill damage.
Evolving Armament with the Buso Expert

Once you reach Level 350, you can visit the Armament (Buso) Expert NPC to level up your Haki. Leveling is based on how many attacks you throw while Buso is active, and each level increases your damage bonus. At the max level you also gain a damage-resistance perk.
| Buso Level | Damage Bonus | EXP to Reach |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | +2.5% | Unlocked at Level 350 (100k) |
| Level 2 | +5% | 5,000 EXP |
| Level 3 | +7.5% | 20,000 EXP |
| Level 4 | +10% | 50,000 EXP |
| Level 5 | +15% + 10% damage resistance | 100,000 EXP |
Reaching Buso Level 1 grants the Ironfist title, and hitting Level 5 (which requires 100,000 EXP and completing the evolution quest) awards the Void-Forged Arms title. You can use the ;busoexp me command to check how many imbued strikes you’ve thrown.
Observation Haki

Observation Haki gives you the ability to dodge attacks, activated with R. You buy the base skill for money, but from there it can only be leveled by successfully dodging enemy attacks — there’s a dedicated Observation Expert NPC in Sea 2 that counts your dodges.
Evolving Observation with the Observation Expert

Each Observation level increases the number of consecutive dodges you can chain, and reaching the final level unlocks powerful tracking perks. Level 6 in particular is a game-changer for PvP and bounty hunting.
| Observation Level | Dodges | EXP to Reach |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | 3 Dodges | 0 EXP |
| Level 2 | 4 Dodges | 100 EXP |
| Level 3 | 5 Dodges | 500 EXP |
| Level 4 | 6 Dodges | 2,000 EXP |
| Level 5 | 7 Dodges | 3,000 EXP |
| Level 6 | 8 Dodges + tracking perks | 4,000 EXP (quest) |
At Level 6, Observation Haki lets you see players on other islands from up to 10x farther away (showing only their name and a marker for their location), and reveals a nearby player’s HP, stamina, level and hotbar — the fruit, sword or style they’re using — within a 250-stud range.
Conqueror’s Haki
Conqueror’s Haki is the rarest Haki type in Haze Seas. Rather than being bought from a trainer, it’s tied to specific origins — for example, joining the D. Clan grants Conqueror’s Haki. It’s primarily used to overwhelm weaker enemies and to trigger clashes against other players.
One key rule: Conqueror’s Haki does not work on players with a bounty of 8 million or higher. Against those players, you can initiate a Conqueror Clash instead.
Conqueror Clashing
When two players activate Conqueror’s Haki within 300 studs of each other, they’re locked into a forced Clash State and become temporarily immortal until it ends. The clash is decided by a minigame: both players must tap bubbles that appear randomly on screen as fast as possible. The first to hit all 10–20 bubbles wins the clash, knocking back, stunning and damaging their opponent. If neither player finishes within 10 seconds, the clash is cancelled with no winner.
Movement Skills: Flash Step & Sky Walk
Two mobility skills pair naturally with Haki and are bought from their own trainers. Both are worth grabbing early for faster travel and better dodging in combat.
Flash Step

Flash Step lets you dash in bursts of speed, almost like a short teleport. It has three levels, and you must own the previous level before unlocking the next. Each tier lowers the cooldown and extends the range.
| Flash Step Level | Location | Requirements | Details |
|---|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Clown Island | Level 1, $25k | 12s cooldown, 100-stud range |
| Level 2 | Three Islands | Level 600, $75k | 10s cooldown, 150-stud range |
| Level 3 | Bubble Island | Level 1,900, $200k | Lower cooldown, longer range |
Sky Walk

Sky Walk lets you walk on air for extra mobility, and its trainer is located inside the Tall Pillars near the starter island. The base skill costs $20,000, and the upgrade increases you to 10 total sky walks. Unlocking Level 1 grants the Windwalker title.
The Poneglyph & Awakenings

Related to Haki progression is the Poneglyph, where you awaken Devil Fruits once you’ve built up enough mastery and gathered the right material. Awakening is a separate endgame system — if you’re chasing fruit power spikes, it’s worth learning alongside your Haki grind.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you get Armament (Buso) Haki in Haze Seas?
You unlock Armament Haki and can begin leveling it at the Buso Expert NPC once you reach Level 350. It’s activated with the J key and lets you damage Logia fruit users while boosting sword and style damage.
How do you level up Observation Haki?
Observation Haki can only be leveled by dodging enemy attacks, tracked by the Observation Expert NPC in Sea 2. Each level increases your dodge chain, and Level 6 unlocks long-range player tracking.
How do you get Conqueror’s Haki?
Conqueror’s Haki is tied to specific origins such as joining the D. Clan rather than being purchased. It enables Conqueror Clashing against other players, though it won’t work directly on anyone with an 8M+ bounty.
Does Armament Haki buff Devil Fruit damage?
No. The Buso damage bonus only applies to fighting style and sword skills — it does not increase Devil Fruit skill damage.
