Titles in Haze Seas are cosmetic badges you display next to your name to show what you have accomplished. They cover almost every system in the game, from hitting level milestones and racking up bounty to defeating superbosses, fishing, trading, and collecting rare items. There are currently 143 titles, and the developers add more with each update.
Quick answer: Titles unlock automatically the moment you meet their milestone. Once unlocked, equip them by talking to Yumi the Navigator NPC. None of them give stat boosts, so they are purely for display.
Titles that unlock as you level up and play
The easiest titles come naturally through normal progression. Leveling, unlocking Haki, and putting in playtime hours will earn you several without any special effort. Ironfist, Windwalker, and Sailor are among the first you are likely to see.

Collection and currency titles
Several titles reward you for hoarding items, currency, and even other titles. Title Collector, Title Hoarder, and LGBTQ chain off each other, so the more titles you own overall, the more of these you unlock without any extra work.

These come from progressing your race, evolving it to V2, awakening Devil Fruits, and maxing Mastery. Reaching Sea 2 and Sea 3 also grant titles on their own.

Bounty and reputation titles
Pick a path and stick to it. Bounty rises through pirate activity and PvP, while reputation grows on the Marine side. Both scale to 20 million for their top tiers.

Boss, kill, and death titles
Defeating bosses earns slayer titles, while dying to them earns their own separate set. Some titles come from a single kill, others from grinding dozens of the same encounter. Cthulhu in particular has both a first-kill and a ten-kill title.

PvP and player hunting titles
Player kills and successful hunts feed two separate progression tracks. A couple of PvP titles require defeating players with specific roles, so they depend on running into a Content Creator, Developer, or Staff member in the wild.

Role titles you cannot earn through normal play
Five titles are reserved for special community roles. VIP is the only one available to regular players, since it comes with the VIP Gamepass. Staff and DEV are hidden and locked to the Haze Studios team.
