The Dragon Hybrid form is the top awakening for the Mythical Dragon fruit in Haze Seas, a blue-scaled half-dragon stance built for close-range, lightning-heavy burst. It sits above the full serpentine transformation on the Dragon fruit’s progression line, and it unlocks through a fixed loop tied to Sea 3’s first island, the Land of the Gods.
Quick answer: Equip the Dragon fruit at 300 Mastery, defeat 1,000 NPCs in the Land of the Gods to earn a Dragon Trumpet, use it to summon and kill the Dragon Hybrid Boss for a guaranteed Dragon Heart, then interact with the Poneglyph on the same island to spend the heart and unlock Hybrid Mode.
Requirements before you start
Every part of this unlock runs off the Dragon fruit and one bottleneck material, the Dragon Heart. Lock these in before you sail out, because arriving at the Poneglyph without them stops the awakening cold.
| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| Dragon fruit | Equip it before touching the Poneglyph. Hybrid Mode is a skill on this fruit, not a separate item. |
| Dragon Mastery | 300 Mastery. The Poneglyph refuses to finish the awakening below this threshold. |
| Location | Land of the Gods, the starting island of Sea 3 (Third Sea). |
| Dragon Trumpet | Summon item for the boss. Earned by clearing NPCs or from chests. |
| Dragon Heart | Mythical material dropped by the Dragon Hybrid Boss at a 100% rate. |
You can obtain the Dragon fruit itself in a few ways. Fruit Dealer Cynthia sells it for 5,000,000 Beli, it costs 2,999 Robux direct, and the Fruit Gacha rolls it at a 0.5% chance with a 150-roll pity that guarantees a Mythical.

You cannot approach the Dragon Hybrid Boss without a Dragon Trumpet to summon it. There are two reliable routes to the item, and both live inside or around the Land of the Gods.
| Method | How it works |
|---|---|
| NPC grind | Kill 1,000 NPCs in the Land of the Gods, then return to the cauldron area to claim the Trumpet and its title. |
| Chest route | Trumpets appear in global chests, with a guaranteed drop roughly every four hours. Good for idle collection between boss attempts. |
The NPC route is the cleaner path because it walks you straight back to the summon point. NPCs near the cauldron respawn quickly and keep you close to the turn-in, while the castle packs are denser if your damage is high enough. If you fall back on chests, random drops are rare, so lean on the four-hour guarantee rather than hoping for an early pull.
Tip: burn a Double EXP code before the 1,000-NPC farm. Codes never unlock Hybrid Mode on their own, but they cut down the longest part of the grind.
Summon the Dragon Hybrid Boss and farm Dragon Hearts

The first Dragon Heart is all you need to unlock the form itself. If you plan to awaken the full skill set, keep repeating the Trumpet-to-boss loop and stockpile hearts before heading to the Poneglyph.
Awaken Hybrid Mode at the Poneglyph
You know it worked when the moves menu lists Hybrid Mode on the N key at Mastery Level 150. Press N to trigger the transformation cutscene and swap into the horned, lightning-clawed form; press N again to leave it.
How many Dragon Hearts you need to max Hybrid
Unlocking the form is only the first heart. Each awakened Hybrid skill costs its own Dragon Heart at the Poneglyph, so maxing the entire kit means returning to the boss loop several more times.
| Goal | Dragon Hearts |
|---|---|
| Unlock Hybrid Mode | 1 |
| Awaken every Hybrid skill | 5 more |
| Full kit and Dragon Scales title | 6 total |
Interact with the Poneglyph once per skill you want to awaken, spending a heart each time. Finishing the tree also grants the Dragon Scales title.
Dragon Hybrid moveset
In Hybrid Mode, the basic M1 combo becomes heavy claw slashes wrapped in fire and purple lightning, with a strong long-range poke that makes the form oppressive in PvP. The special moves lean into the same fire-and-lightning theme.
| Key | Skill | Mastery Lv. | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| F | Wyrm Ascent | 0 | Flight move surrounded by fire and purple lightning; also used to dive and slam. |
| Z | Heatwave Barrage | 0 | A controllable barrage-style attack. |
| X | Thunder Bite | 25 | Lunging grab that traps the enemy in a lightning sphere, then slams; holds for an extended combo. |
| C | Wyrmbreak Clawstorm | 50 | Ground slam sending waves of lightning and fire outward; charging widens the area and damage. |
| V | Thunderblast Breath | 75 | A steerable beam of fire and lightning; charging fires a much larger dome-shaped blast. |
| N | Hybrid Mode | 150 | Toggles the hybrid form on and off. |
If the Poneglyph won’t unlock Hybrid Mode
When the awakening refuses to complete, the cause is almost always one of a few checks. Confirm each before farming another heart.
- The Dragon fruit is not equipped and active when you interact.
- No Dragon Heart is in your inventory.
- Dragon Mastery is below the 300 requirement the Poneglyph expects.
- You are at the wrong object; the correct Poneglyph sits to the right of the Land of the Gods spawn.
If your Trumpet never drops, make sure your kills are counting toward the Land of the Gods cauldron rather than random enemies elsewhere. And if you only have the standard Dragon transform on the E key, you simply have not finished the chain yet; Hybrid Mode requires the Trumpet, the boss, the Dragon Heart, and the Poneglyph turn-in together.
Once the form is live, the same boss loop keeps feeding both this awakening and Dragon Claw V2 at the Sage Of Combat on the same island, so farming Dragon Hearts pushes your entire dragon build forward from a single route. You can jump straight into the grind from the Haze Seas Roblox page.
